As a Guardian fairy, I have no healing powers. Guardian fairies just guide Kokiri children along the journey of life & help them find low-priced deals at Z-Target. We answer to the Great Deku Tree, the patriarch of the forest.

Here is Link bottling a Healing fairy.

Since they live in single bushes or ceramic pots outside of boss rooms anyway, I guess they don't mind it when Link traps them in bottles. Instead of working under the Great Deku Tree, Healing fairies work for a Great Fairy.

If you're still confused, just remember this:
Fairies found in hiding spots, give you hearts when you need lots.
Fairies that follow you around, can't help pick up off the ground.
Giant fairies found in caves, are beautiful no matter what they say.
