On my first ever playthrough I got one of the special camoflauges off the invisible boss and thought 'Well, hey."

After several hours of not figuring out why my health was deteriorating so rapidly, I got a clue and took it off. Boy was my face red!

I would buy a game that was just the boss fight with The End, I think. Everyone post your first time killing The End stories here!

when i play on the harder levels i do it for the regular parts (sneakin' and hidin' and stuff) so the bosses actually become an annoyance instead of a regular part of the game

especially since they're not new and surprising anymore

The spirit camo is potentially game breaking with the way it silences your footsteps. It does make getting the End's camo way easier though.

And good luck doing a no-kill run without whatever camo Volgin gives you is called. Cold War? It makes the chase following that fight way easier.

By the way, the point from where you get caught planting the plastic explosives all the way through the end credits is my favorite hour of a video game ever.

did you know if you take too long you can die during a cutscene (the parts where the sorrow is holding the sign with the timer on it)

i am vaguely sure that if you skip the cutscene you don't die even if you would otherwise

I just finished Phoenix Wright 3! Awesome awesome game. Godot references Metal Gear Solid and The Rock at one point which is pretty awesome, and rivals Moe's "In West Clownadelphia born and raised.." from the last game.

I just finished the second trial of maskdemasque. How much more of the game do I have to go?

webber: there are essentially 4 cases (but the last case is preceded by a very short prologue case with no investigation to tie a few things together so that the final case makes sense), so I guess you are a little less than halfway through?

I finished the Halo 3 campaign earlier this week. It was pretty good, although from what I've heard about bits being similar to the previous games it might be for the best that I haven't played much of the first two games. That said, I am getting kind of tired of FPSes after Bioshock, Halo 3, The Orange Box, and Metroid Prime 3 being the banner games from the past 4 months, so I'm really glad that Super Mario Galaxy is coming out this week. I have really high hopes for that game, and hopefully getting all 120 stars will keep me busy for a while because there are so many tempting games coming out in the next month or so that I want to play!

I'm going to try to finish up Phoenix Wright 3 before I pick up Mario on Tuesday. I also realized that I didn't get very far in Zelda: Phantom Hourglass since my 360 came back the week after I got Zelda, so hopefully I can get back to that (although if I don't, I do need some stuff to play on the DS while I am traveling around Christmas anyway).

God, the last case in Phoenix Wright 3 is the best ever. I don't even want to spoil a single thing about it.

Apparently Capcom is claiming that Apollo Justice will be here sometime in the first couple months of 2008? That seems pretty quickly, especially considering that Harvey Birdman is coming out in January. Slow down, fellas!

Still playing Pokemon Diamond. Had my first battle with a friend of mine in registration class, it was pretty fun.

webber, I would like to pick it up and try it, but I don't have a lot of extra money right now, so I'm trying really hard to not buy anything new this month besides Super Mario Galaxy. I'll probably check it out at some point, though. I saw some footage of it on The 1Up Show and it looks pretty impressive.

I wish people would spread these games out a bit. It's even worse in Australia because games like Metroid Prime 3 were delayed until next week, so we get that and Super Mario Galaxy within a week of each other. And there's like 6 games coming out for the PS3 in the next month or so that look terrific (who would've thought?). I think I'll be playing all these Christmas games until May.

Edit: BTG I now have a Pal Pad and can trade with you.

Good stuff man. Thing is, I've beat the elite four and now I'm just messing around trying to assemble a decent team. Are there any Pokemon you're in dire need of?

Not really, the only ones I am missing are the ones from Fire Red/Leaf Green and all the legendaries from Emerald

I realized recently that I had never gotten very far in Gears of War, so I went back and started up where I had left off (the middle of Act 2) and played through the whole game (on Casual) on Friday night. Yesterday I made some progress in Puzzle Quest and Super Mario Galaxy (98 stars) and today I finished the 360 version of Guitar Hero 2 on Hard. Not sure what I'm going to play next, but I am going to try to finish SMG by the end of the week.
