Warriors: Orochi is still the standard DW mash-fest, but I love the shit out of it like I have for all of the others. Things very much improved in this version is the ability to select 3 officers to control for each war, and you can switch between them instantly during each fight. So grinding through the Yellow Turban Rebellion again just to boost the stats of one officer isn't a problem anymore. Plus there's no more Yellow Turban Rebellion! Growth points gained at the end of every level can be used to fuse together weapons you've earned or to power up wimpier characters, because fuck ever playing as Xu Zhu.

I was talking about this with my friends the other day! George Washington would have an axe, and FDR would have a rocket powered wheelchair. Einstein could slow down time for his special, and would attack using karate for comedic purposes. There could be Robert Frost or Walt Whitman or somebody shooting leaves and wind. Who would be the overpowered Lu Bu guy? Teddy Roosevelt?

I'm making my way through Grim Fandango for the first time. It's a lot of fun, but I hate having to go to Gamefaqs every half hour.

I think that's one of the major failings of the adventure genre, to be honest.

Although I enjoyed the hell out of Grim Fandango until it started to crash somewhere near the end.
