yes, they did. This is why Activision is the next EA, because they think that the Tony Hawk method should be applied to all of their games because it works well for Tony Hawk!

Speaking of EA, I just picked up a copy of Def Jam ICON - for no other reason than that it was $19.99

It mindlessly fun, but rather odd in that you have no idea how much "life" you have left during your fights - as there is no "life" meter. It's opening screen set-up is piss poor, it offers no tutorials, and, uh, you kind of have to fish your way around the start menu to figure out how to start the story mode. But, even after all that, it's still enjoyable to play. Oh, and now you manage a record label and control costs, residuals, marketing, etc.

it makes me feel like a real rapper/hip-hop mogul. bup bup bup! where my peoples at? baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaalllin!
