Thank gof Jon Stewart's hosting. Otherwise I'd of shut it off after seeing Howl's Moving Castle not winning. What???/?

Granted, I didn't see Wallace & Gromit, but I can say that Howl is superior. It's moving, not just funny. <:(

I was pretty upset that Howl's Movie Castle didn't win, but I knew it wouldn't, so it wasn't that much of a let down.

Those endorsement commercials for best actress were pretty great though.

I've got no problem with Wallace & Gromit taking the Oscar. To me, it was a wonderful film and I hope it sets a trend for what we consider to be passable family entertainment. Though, both Hoodwinked and Doogal were released like, a week apart of one another, so that dream was promptly shat upon.

While I loved Howl's moving castle, I felt that bits of the story (primarily the resolution) were kind of less-than-perfect. However, I know Wallace and Gromit is awesome, so it kinda balances it out. Howl's Moving Castle should win in a category where it is like a million times better than the normal winner, like Best Romantic Comedy.

Thank fucking Christ for Phillip Seymor Hoffman winning. Makes up for Howl's Moving Castle losing.

It doesn't completely make up for it, but I am very happy that he won. I feel that he deserved it.

If you don't like Crash its because you're a disgusting racist who refuses to open your eyes to the TRUTH!

And if you do like Crash its because you're a disgusting racist who refuses to change even though you've seen the TRUTH!

I enjoyed Crash a lot, but I wouldn't have considered it for an Oscar. Then again, I've probably only seen 4 or 5 movies this year. I'm too busy working for a living and getting girlfriends and exercising to watch movies, you nerds.

I was actually surprised that Crash got it. Brokeback Mountain was a shoe in because of it's screenplay and director award. The judges must have seen Hulk before judging B.P.

God bless 36Mafia. They were funnier then Jon Stewart. And, just because of how they kept ramming down my throat, I'll never go to amovie theater again.

I can't believe they gave Best Picture to "Do You Realize Racism." I guess the other 20 after-school specials I saw only needed to say "fuck" a bunch to be considered wonderous works of art.

As for Howl's, I'm not really upset for two reasons:

1) Miyazaki got the award last time he was up for it, and

2) Wallace and Gromit win everything they are ever nominated for. They've got like 20,000 Oscars now. It's a claymation guy going "oh, I, oh!" before being hit in the head with a giant hammer. Different strokes, I guess.

I can't say Crash was worse then any of the others, though. And I agree on Wallace & Gromit. What the hell's the big deal?

I fucking loved the Three 6 Mafia bit. More so the performance than even their hilarious acceptance. The Oscar people didn't know what to do with them, so they just threw the gayest thing imaginable onstage. If Bruce Vilanche and Rip Taylor had assfucked onstage for the duration of the song, it would've been less gay than the Academy's dance interpretation of how hard it is "to be a pimp." G.D. classic. Also, fuggin Crash. Goddammit. I'm just going to make a movie where a bunch of B-list actors sternly lecture the audience about a Big Issue for two hours and then I come out at the end and say, "No opiniioooonnn!!" Then I just have to wait for the accolades and awards to start rolling in.

The fact that not only Eminem has one, but now Three 6 Mafia have an Oscar just tells you about the state of affairs these days. I look forward to 2007 Oscar winner Paul Wall's acceptance speech.

You are aware that the guy who wrote Crash also wrote Diff'rent Strokes as well as The Facts of Life. Apparently he's very comfortable writing for women and people of color. Then again, we all know how crazy my views are towards race and gender

He also created Walker, Texas Ranger, so blame him for the Chuck Norris jokes. By the way, "A whole lot of witches jumping ship"? that was the best edit they could do? I would've preferred bleeps.
