Finally got rid of all my greens but two (ring and cloak). I just need 1 more Shadow Labs run to get revered with Lower City and 2 or 3 more CoT runs to get to honored with KoT (I'm behind on this rep, clearly). I gotta get that Keepers of Time glyph, it calls to me. And also the Burnoose of Shifting Ages, but that's a drop not a rep reward.

Also this Hallow's End stuff is really fun. I've killed the Headless Horseman about 7 times today, though no helm drop yet

I think I might have found a guild for my friends and I to go to, which is exciting. I was randomly hanging around IF and saw a "looking for tank old hillsbrad" and despite hating pugs I decided I would. The run went well, and the dudes seem pretty cool and are looking to start up an old (I guess) guild of theirs again and invited me. After asking if they want a holy pally, mage and hunter too, they said yes. I guess they are having an "officer's meeting" tonight to officially decide. They're looking to run Kara, so if we get in there hopefully I'll get my first look at it.

Also I've killed the Headless Horseman at least 15 times and never seen the helm drop, that fucker. Plus as I said we've been running Slabs (I'm like 300 rep from revered ). I think the Blackheart fight is the most fun I've done in the game. Also Murmur is a prick and won't drop my shoulders, but that's how it goes I guess. And Holy pallies are ridiculous. On most fights my friend doesn't even drop under 10% mana used. Now I just need to get him out of cloth.

Actually, I have all the mats for soulfrost sitting in my bank. The Mindblade is awesome, but the arena weapons are better, and I'm just a few weeks from getting that. Soulfrost will be on that puppy immediately!

Hit 51 before bed last night and I'll be going into AV when I get home from work to get the quest reward wand. Level 58 can't come quickly enough!

Fortunately for you gear doesn't mean much to a mage. At least not as much as it means to, say, a warrior



Even though I lose about 99% of the time to a mage, it's still ridiculously fun to Spell Reflect (especially if it's a pyroblast--I might even win if that one works!)

Yeah, I'm really not all that worried about the gear, just levelling as quickly as I can to 58 so I can start getting some real stuff in Outland. Unless there are instances where I have like 6-8 quests (like ZF) I've been staying away from running instances, which explains why my stuff is either off the AH or created .

Oh hey, what's up Outland.

I finally went through the portal on Sunday morning, and within an hour and a half, had upgraded my staff, wand, head, chest, and leg pieces. I doubled my spell damage and went up like, 700 HP or something. It's pretty awesome the way they set you up so that you're on a pretty even playing field when you go through there. When I went through with my paladin when BC first came out, that character had been through Molten Core and stuff, so the upgrades were marginal...this time around, knowing the stuff that would be waiting for me, I blazed through levels 1-58 hardly caring about gear, and am now ready to kick some ass.

First Kara run ever tonight, we downed:

Attumen (lol am i rite)
Moroes
Maiden
Opera (Romulo and Juilanne, Romulo hits like a truck made of flaming baseball bats that have stingers)

Needed more DPS or heals on Curator. We only wiped on Curator.

Now to be fair, about 4 of the guys have done it before, but there were at least half of us who had never been there at all. And we were fairly undergeared. I'm impressed.

I got the [Boots of Elusion] (and passed on the [Despair] roll out of kindness)
