I saw Dread Zeppelin for free yesterday. They put on a pretty good show for the 50 or so people there. The saddest thing is I bet there'll be more people for the $10 Tegan and Sara show on Sunday.

The most recent show I saw was Porcupine Tree. These guys really put on a kick-ass show, let me tell you.

Devendra Banhart is the Greatest Human Being on the Planet.

Saw him last night with Logan and it was the best show I've ever seen. All of the songs sounded better than the album versions. They slowed down At the Hop a little bit and Devendra improvised this "You've got the prettiest face" refrain at the end and omg I melted. At the end of Little Boys people started getting on stage and dancing around. I stayed in the crowd and danced. A couple other highlights were the "a real good time good time a good time" rockin' part at the end of This Beard is for Siobhan, A Sight to Behold, and the Mama Wolf, which was the most beatiful thing I've ever heard.

After the show I made sure to catch him and hug him and give him a big ol' kiss before he went backstage. A little bit after that, he was on stage getting some shit so me and Logan bothered him, got our picture taken with him, and made sure to tell him that he's the Greatest Human Being on the Planet.

If you don't listen to Devendra Banhart you are a son of a bitch and you should hate yourself.

I saw NiN/Queens of the Stone Age about a week ago or so and it kicked major ass. I'd had seen each band at least once before and separetly this showing probably wasn't as good as before (since the album they are both touring on now isnt as good as the one I saw them tour on previously), but together it was great show.

Queens did a sweet version of Nobody Knows where he stopped to bitch about a fan flipping him off (who else did he do that for:). And NiN did a great selection of songs from all their albums, including my favorite Gave Up from Broken. Nothing too fancy stage wise, but they did a Hurt-esque thing of playing behind a screen of odd images, including Bush slow dancing to the "cheers" of the crowd...

If you missed this show, for shame!

I just got my tickets to Big D & the Kids Table's annual halloween show in Boston. I don't go to many shows anymore, but I've been to the past three of these, so it's sort of a holiday tradition for me.

I saw The Receiving End of Sirens and a bunch of other bands last friday for a Halloween show. They were so good. I was Minnie Mouse and it was amazing.
