Expert guitar

I can play up to mid-way through the second solo, and tonight was the first time I could play through the long string of yellow-red-green-red-yellow-red-green-red without needing overdrive, so I am making progress, but it's been slow and arduous progress and it requires playing through six minutes of extra bullshit every time you want to attempt it

Plus I can only try a few times a night because my hand starts cramping up and my nerves get shot from almost making it and then bombing out

yep sounds about right

I made it to the end of the solo once and failed, like it was just slowing down and I saw the 'freakout' bars that come at the end and it was too late :(

I just got my brother to beat it for me after that cause I was pissed

It's a lot of fun, start on medium to get the hang of the way it works and you'll find expert is pretty easy when you know all the songs well enough

just be sure your dad doesn't walk in when you're in a heartfelt rendition of 'I think I'm paranoid'

Would you say on the whole achievements add to your enjoyment of the game or do you get them for mainly completeness/e-penis reasons

I would like to see a similar system on the PS3, but it seems like things can so easily devolve into doing chores so that an abstract number goes up. Who am I kidding, this is what all RPGs are like and I love them

I don't have anyone to show my score to so it's not an e-penis thing, I'm just anal about completing things. To a certain point anyway; I don't go nuts about getting all 1000 because usually there's a few that require way too much work just to get one extra achievement and maybe 20 points. I'm not going to bother tracking down the dozens of flags still hidden around the various cities, for instance. In fact, the majority of the time I spent tonight was looking for the couple of flags I didn't have in Masyaf, which I figured I'd get since I had most of them anyway.

It's not even about the total gamerscore, I just want to feel like I've done everything there is to do in a game and achievements just put it in a more concrete format.

I found a copy of Enter the Matrix at my girlfriend's house the other day. Having been morbidly curious about the game for years, I decided to give it a spin. It really is as buggy as it's been made out to be. So far, I've encountered echoing voice overs, bullets that fly straight into the air and still hit the bad guys and one full-on game crash. And I've played for about an hour. The craftsmanship is phenomenal.

playin fft for the PSP and did one of those things where you spend a long time leveling up and then accidentally hit one of those "story battle" locations and then you LOSE THE STORY BATTLE AND THEN ALL THE LEVELING UP TIME

but other than that it is still a good game
