PGA: Rest In Peace 2012

The Pro Graps Association was the one thing that has kept Progressive Boink Forums alive for the last couple years. It is now officially dead, apparently. To celebrate, we will be holding a final pay per view event called "PGA: Rest In Peace" wherein we mourn the loss of my only Internet hobby.

I have no idea how any of this SBNation stuff works, so I am creating a "Fan Posts" in hopes that people see it and maybe this really does have any forum appeal rather than comments on a blog post, but I doubt it. So let's try it and meet in here to talk about solutions, etc.

But seriously, what the hell is any of this stuff in my window

Why don’t we just create a proboard? It’ll take like five minutes and basically give us the same functionality we’re used to. There’s no way in hell we can keep it going here, that’s for sure.

sorry, guys.

we actually really did mean to preserve the forum. it’s just that the moving-over process has been a pretty complicated one, since this format exists in 2012 and our old site was made in like 1977.

as a consequence of moving over the domain, the forum now redirects. i’m going to try and find a way around this if at all possible, because i know y’all still use it and i honestly feel bad for just slamming the door on it (even though it was inadvertent).

anyway, you’ve created the first fanpost on the blog, which puts you ahead of the curve! hold tight. i’ll update when i find out more.

Yeah, thanks a lot! We were just frustrated because we panicked and made a bunch of contingency plans to back up the archives and find a new home when it was announced that PBoink was launching anew here, and when the migration was put off for a few months, we sort of just assumed that the forums would remain as they were. The sudden move here took us aback, but we really appreciate you keeping it afloat.

I promise to post over here all the time, and not in character as a murderous itinerant redneck zealot.
