Goat grinding is a ">|" kinda thread. This is different. Potentially whinier!

I broke up with my girlfriend yesterday. It was pretty much totally the best thing to do seeing as how the relationship wasn't going to work out, but still, man, being single again kinda hurts even though I know I'm better off. Oh well.

Sorry about the girlfriend thing. It's weird how, even though one knows they're doing something right, it can still get them bummed out. I hope adjustment to the single life goes well for you. I'm a firm believer that single is better in the long run anyway (although I may just tell myself that because I haven't gotten a girlfriend in over two years).

I'm all kinds of bummed out pretty much all the time lately, although I don't have a particular reason for it. I find it hard to get myself to sleep at night, I wake up really early in the morning and can't get back to sleep, and the other day I went into dry heaves in the shower. I think I'll attribute it all to my recent inability to go jogging, which used to be my relief from life's drudgery.

Anyway, there's my bitchy post. i'll go back to being spoodles the jackass again so that people can tell me to get the fuck out.

maybe you're allergic to the forums?

Seriously, though, sorry to hear that you haven't been feeling well. I'm not sure how I've survived the summer, I've done a really terrible job of taking care of myself since my roommates and girlfriend are all off at other places and I apparently don't know how to make myself be healthy and productive. I've been fighting off a lot of feelings of being miserable because of that, and I think I first and foremost need to get in the habit of exercising and getting a reasonable amount of sleep or I'm going to do some long-term damage to myself.

And Alex, sorry about the relationship. :( That's never a good time, but it's good that you know it's for the best. Hopefully before you know it you'll be feeling less sad about it and still be able to remember and feel good about the happy times you had.

This bloody pain in my right-side abs is bumming me out. I'm going in for an ultrasound later this week but I'm dead certain it's my appendix.

Fucking appendix. Useless piece of shit it is.

I am bummed out by the fact that winter is coming. And that I have to go back to work today after a beautiful 10 days off and that school is coming. School and winter are months away but I am already dreading them.

Tyler spilled Mountain Dew on my cleavage and I had to wipe myself off with a wet towel but I still feel sticky on my boobs.

I'll need to save that "sticky boobs" thought for the next time I get around to the "Happy happenings" thread.

My girlfriends fom college and I have been trying to make a date to go get fondue for a couple of weeks now. Finally after many reschedulings, we all decided on the 20th. Great. Then last night I got an email from my high school friends inviting me to a free screening of "Little Miss Sunshine," which they are the only friends of mine who are as excited about it (or have even heard of it) as I am. And I love going to free screenings, because then when you see the wide release, you can see what they've changed. But I don't think I can miss out on the fondue because it took my college friends and I so long to plan it!

I also just went to the bathroom and noticed that this morning in my stupor I wore a white skirt and neon green panties. I am sucking big time today.

God is yo-yoing my luck today. I guess this is the best place to put this, since it's neither happy or bad. Anyway, it's been really bizarre. This morning I went to work at this abandoned factory my dad bought to give him a hand getting everything metal out to go sell to the scrap yard. (I checked in here during the two 15 minute breaks, you see)
First thing I do there, I cut my arm on the glass pane (I don't want to go into how I did it). So I go to work there, and I found this awesome stoplight that would most likely only appeal to me. So I rescued that and right after (well, at least a few minutes later), I'm loading up the stuff and I get a flashlight to see, since the place had no source of light. After a while it pops and battery acid comes out on my arm. It was working fine seconds ago and it never acted up. I don't think the batteries were even in that long. Anyway, other notable things:

-Found 20 bucks

-Almost had my head smashed in

-Tire popped while I was driving trailer of stuff

-Got to use a tractor to pull a furnace (It's the same one that almost smashed my head in)

-Furnace (Which by now, I'm assuming is from hell) smashes into little bits (admittedly, it is old, so it's not just luck, I guess)

-Mower broke

-Other (thought to be) broken mower magically started working

-Somehow, In an unrelated incident, found 15 bucks :)

So right now I'm in the positive, but I'm scared the boomrang of luck is starting to head back.

My old trademark 2 second edit: Holy crap I put a lot of parenthesis(es?) in there.

A friend of mine died of acute organ failure caused by small cell osteosarcoma (a rare and agressive bone cancer) a couple days ago. She was only 16 years old.

I'm glad she got to see the Red Sox win the World Series before she died.

EDIT: Holy crap this is my first post. I haven't posted on the new forum yet. Kinda sad.

I'm very sorry about your friend. Losing a person so young to disease is a misery that we can all feel. You have my warm thoughts. :<3

I am sorry for the loss of your friend, but it is good she got to see that. I have been to numerous funerals where it was mentioned that the deceased never got to see them win the big one. Sometimes community values are funny, but they are things we value all the same.

When I think of the things that I'm sad that my mother never got to see, the two things that come to mind are watching her grandkids grow up and missing that Series. It seems like that should feel so petty and ridiculous, but it really doesn't.

Hell of a first post, Capt. I'm very sorry about your friend.

It's not often said enough but one of the things I like about the P-Boi forums is that a lot of people share some pretty personal experiences and I like being a part of the whole sharing process, and I hope others do too.

Which is why I also want to say: Thank you, Capt. Thank you for sharing with us.

That sucks, Cap. It must be rough to just up and lose a friend like that.

On a somewhat related note, I recently found out that a guy I knew died while I was at college. Apparently he just developed some type of leukemia or something out of the blue and died a few weeks later. I was never really good friends with the guy. I think he used to tease me a lot about stupid stuff and we used to fight, then during high school his mom shipped him off to military school or boarding school or something for a couple years, then at some point he came back and I saw him around campus a few times and I might have said hi to him once. So it's not like his death has any direct impact on my life or anything. Still, it was kind of a downer when my mom was like "Oh, you remember Ben? He died."

Damn. Sorry guys. :(

Right now I'm stuck answering 2 lines of phones and helping customers because I'm the only one to do it. The office manager at my work is this sweet old lady who's like 70. I've only been here for 4 months and yesterday she was asking me how to spell my last name so she could put me on the invite list for her 50th wedding anniversary. Today and tomorrow she's gonna be gone because her husband had to go to the hospital for congestive heart failure. They're supposed to take a month-long road trip in September driving from here to New York. I don't know if her husband can take that and what an unfortunate time for everything considering that I think their 50th anniversary is this fall. :(

My front left tire is flat. The 60$ is just another expense that's been setting me back from the Big Thing I want this year.
