I'm a huge fan of D.I.Y. music, and this these guys fit that definition to the letter. All of the music they've recorded is available to download free of charge from their website. Fans are encouraged to learn their songs and help play them live, shirts are stenciled and made for free at their shows, and they've sustained by donations of cash, food and alcohol.
They play insanely hyperactive ska which sounds like it was recorded immediately following a three-night drunk during which nothing but alcohol, coffee, soda and pixie stix were consumed.
Give 'em a listen. I know not everyone here is going to dig their sound, but I figure people like Daniel and Logan will appreciate the ethic behind the music, if nothing else.

Well, it's not really my cup of tea but it was better than I expected. How do these guys manage to play a full set? I'd be fucked after one song.

I liked "Ready... Set... No!" quite a bit. The music is insanely catchy. I did not, however, like any of the other songs I listened to. But I imagine if I saw them live I'd think they were the greatest thing ever.

will do! if i remember! and can think of a way to say that some dude on the internet said you were awesome without sounding lame! have you seen them live, before? i saw them live several times before ever actually hearing their album and ended up being totally disappointed in the recording. based on their shows, it should have been much better, in my opinion. but anyway. swell!

No, I've only heard them recorded and even though it could've been better, it's still a fucking solid debut album. Even the elitist pods at Pitchfork liked it.
