| For the first time ever, Nick and I took care of the update this week, and it was a lot of fun. Let us know what you think. If anyone has any suggestions for things to add to our Wikipedia article, let us know. |

"Staff alumni" should probably be something like "Emeritus Staff", or maybe something else that is not "alumni".
If this is actually a for-real article, that is (which, to actually stay on Wikipedia, should be!)
That's all I've actually looked at so far. The article is pretty cool though, nice history.
edit: it's wikipedia, so I could probably change that myself... _________________ pr0FF3ss0r_F4rnsw0rth: wait im sorry i made almost 2 million dollars last year to throw 20 fastballs every three or four days haha sorry jackalope capitalism rules |

Is Carlin actually Bill's last name, or is that an inside joke someone made? Other then being unsure of that, great update by you two. Also, on the main page the Manny GM article says that B & Lindy wrote it. _________________ Chuck Norris frequently signs up for beginner karate classes, just so he can "accidentally" beat the shit out of little kids. |

I sent Jon that in an IM but I don't know if he read it or whatever. I'm pretty anal about things like that.
The Dugout gets a thumbs up, too. Great stuff. _________________ pr0FF3ss0r_F4rnsw0rth: wait im sorry i made almost 2 million dollars last year to throw 20 fastballs every three or four days haha sorry jackalope capitalism rules |

| The Wikipedia article. It clears up a couple things. Like I didn't know the Dennis Haysbert thing was a reference to 24. I thought it was just funny because Dennis Haysbert can be comical with his stern face and All-State commercials. I think a lot of things fly over my head. That's ok I hope I can still hang around laughing at things I don't always understand. |

Yeah, the other guys and I were just having some fun. "Carlin" is such a hilariously improbable last name for a person to have that we figured it would be good for a laugh.
To be honest, Bill doesn't actually have a last name. |

Nick and I got a couple of great e-mails today about our Manny Dugouts.
| Quote: |
| Working for a Major League team, I once met Manny in the visitors' clubhouse during a very important postseason game. He was sitting in the managers' office in his underwear with his feet up on the desk, watching the Cartoon Network. When I walked in, he very loudly passed gas and couldn't stop laughing. |

Today's Dugout is doubly impressive because of something I thought only myself, my brother, and a few drunk guys knew.
When the Cleveland Indians were an awesome team in the 90's, and Manny played second fiddle to either Albert Belle or Jim Thome, he caught a lot of flack from the fans for his fielding. My tickets were literally right behind Manny in the outfield so I got to hear a lot of this. I also got to see some awesome Mannyisms taking place throughout the year. The BEST was when the Cleveland Air Show was in town and the Blue Angels (or whatever) would buzz the field in between innings for the fans. The look of childish glee on Manny's face, arms on his hips, staring up at the planes was just priceless. "It's a little known fact, Manny Ramirez *loves* airplanes." was an instant conversation ...awkwarder... that my brother and I have used ever since. So, yeah, today's Dugout was great. |

Manny's apparently pointless Gollum scene was awesome.
You expect some kind of, y'know, change or something. But it's just Manny being...
...wait, what the hell is he always being? I cannot remember. _________________

I'm a bit dissapointed that I didn't get a new 192.168.100.1 this week and I'm starting to fear there won't be one next week either.
I'm not a big baseball fan
/dodges aimed rocks and beer bottles
but I still thought Nick's article was good and I loved the Dugout.
The Wikipedia entry was great because I can't get enough of this website's history. |

| Yeah, sorry about that. I had originally planned on doing part 3 of the story, but wasn't really feeling it this week. I started to write a page or two and ultimately decided it was pretty boring, so I scrapped it. I imagine I'll probably come back to it this week, but I hate to make promises. Anyway, as for the rest of the stuff, glad you liked it guys. |

| Look at people like Paul Pierce, though (ugh). He gets trashed constantly, yet he never brings it on the court. He doesn't speak out against criticism, almost as if he doesn't care. I'd call him thick skinned, but then those knives wouldn't have been able to stab him 4 times at a night club. |
I reacted to that line by slowing drawing my hand up to my mouth in typical "Oh... my... god" fashion. I then followed it with a bout of laughter.
And the Manny Dugout saga was terrifically whimsical. That's right, whimsical. _________________

I thought Nick's article was great. I don't know a lot about what goes on behind closed doors at Fenway, nor has it ever been especially important to me to find out, but your article made it very interesting. gg _________________

Thanks, friends. My two main goals with this article were to a.)have someone who didn't like the Red Sox read it and take something away from it and b.)have someone gasp at my Paul Pierce comment.
His last name is "Pierce" for christ's sake, how can you not make a stabbing joke about him? _________________
