I don't know much about the music apparently popular here, but A Livingroom Hush by Jaga Jazzist doesn't get nearly as much love as it should.

Also, there is this band called Project 86 that has a few great albums. The thing is, that their pretty damn popular, but no one I know personally save for two or three people have heard of them, and thats because we all heard of them from a mutual friend who worships them. Anyway, they have some really cool stuff.

I heard the song Hallow Again by them and like it a lot... anything specific by them that you'd recommend?

Well my personal fave is Spy Hunter, which may or may not have to do with his pronunciation of the word 'murder' as "murdah." Their really popular one (or at least the one with the best hook) is Shadow on Me, which is damn cool. Their new CD has a great tune called Doomsday Stomp. It actually took a few listens to enjoy, but it helps when you realize that it's mostly about an anthill being stomped on. I thought that was cool as fuck.

Wow, Project 86. That takes me back to the days when my first band used to play Christian festivals and whatnot. Their first album is good, anything after that is redundant. Kinda like how after Blindside made their first two records, they really should have just stopped. and other references to christian rap-metal bands

Honestly, I havent gotten a chance to listen to anything besides 'Songs to Burn Your Bridges By' and '...And the Rest Will Follow,' so I can't claim otherwise, but I do know that I really like those two for what they are. Especially 'Burn Your Bridges.'

Mindless Self Indulgence- self titled (impossible to get, hard to DL)
Mindless Self Indulgence- Tight (about $100 for used copies on ebay)
Mindless Self Indulgence- Frankenstein Girls Will Seem Strangely Sexy (oldest album that's still widley available, and entirely addictive)
Mindless Self Indulgence- Alienating Our Audience (great live album, easy to find)
Mindless Self Indulgence- Despierta Los Niņos (weird one to say the least, available through band site, not in stores)
Mindless Self Indulgecne- You'll Rebel to Anything (Newest release, available in market if lucky, seems to be not many copies around, atleast in my town)
The Left Right- self titled (only through web site)
Green Jelly- Breakfast Serious Killer Soundtrack (old school, but I can still find a copy in my mall)

That's all that comes to mind at the moment. As you could guess i'm a huge fan of MSI, but no one I know knew about them before I introduced them, maybe that's a good thing though. They might be considered a required taste, but I find them a good twist that just can't be straight labeled. In my book they are their own genre. Most of the other stuff I know of has recently exploded in popularity, which brings about the often loved, "Who knew them first," conversations which makes me want to regret hearing them at all.

Bullshit. Everyone born between 1975 & 1985 who listens to rock music, had MTV & knows what a fairy tale is has heard of Green Jelly. Of course, I also owned the SNES game Maximum Carnage, so my opinion may be void.

No, I'll back you up on this. That shit was everywhere when I was in junior high, even before they had to change their name from Green Jell-O.

If by terrible you mean "awesome," then yeah. You're on the money.

Unfortunately, that's almost exactly how I remember them, and I can't particularly say I'd associate any words meaning "good" with that hybrid of crap on crap.

But that's just me.

They're a joke band. You don't listen to Green Jelly and expect to hear technical proficency. You listen to Green Jelly for retarded songs about the three little pigs.

Music is a land of contrast.

Oh well thanks! I mostly put that up for the other people I was there with, but I like joking about stuff that isn't particularly funny to begin with. I've got a few ideas about things I want to put there that I may or may not get around to now that I see one person has actually read it.
