I enjoyed the unspoken threat of hyperbole-level violence in Waterslide. I've noticed a trend away from this in the forums, and that was one of my favorite aspects of the old one. It's good to see Mike hasn't sold out yet and is still doing this for the fans.

Yes, I could tell. He certainly was a straight shooter, I'll tell you this right now. His observations about different races were the definition of good comedy. Boy, I sure wish I could make observations like that!

An untrained gorilla could make/write Family Circus. (This is not to suggest Mike is in any way a gorilla. Hell I think the point is, Mike could make something way better than FC... which, well, he consistently does.) And for that matter, now that Bil's been taken care of (the world is now a better place) I vote Comic Strip On A Waterslide to replace Family Circus in my local newspaper. And since CSOAW is never contained in just one doofy circle, I vote the removal of several other comics as well. Make way. |
