Anyone been getting virus warnings from PB?

I hope you Firefox bros took Justin's advice about getting the NoScript addon. I have a feeling we might have to deal with this bullshit forever.

Fuck it. Let’s delete forum_fn.js and see if it affects the forum AT ALL.

Edit: Oh hey look I can still post.

Could it possibly be a dodgy field in phpBB that doesn't validate properly? Like an iffy user who knows about a backdoor and if did a malicious code injection?

Just as a precaution, might be an idea to delete a bunch of those iffy users who registered in June.

I know I'm late to this party Mike, but one of the reasons I stayed off here for so long is that whatever you had attached to this forum, it got past both my hardware firewall and Zone Alarm and infected my desktop with a trojan that pulled a ton of shit in. It changed my Windows background to a beach side seascape and as soon as my machine would boot windows up, some pre-recorded travel agent guy would come on talking about the affordability of a vacation to Barbados. Every link I had for every application loaded porn spam sites, and if I tried to launch a malware removal tool, it would tell me that I didn't have authorization to launch that kind of app. Both MSConfig and Regedit gave me the same error. I ended up having to log on as Administrator in safe mode and go through my reg code line by line to rid of all the references, then had to install 3 different malware tools before I finally got rid of it all.

In hindsight, I probably should have just wiped the drive, but I had a lot of old stuff on there that wasn't backed up.

I am indeed glad you found a way around it. Now I have no qualms about visiting here from time to time and gifting you all with my witty and acerbic viewpoints.
