What are you listening to now?

Oh look an obscure reference to a band only four people like is in the header of the music forum. How novel and unexpected.

They actually have several good songs, though admitting this and maintaining dignity with my music-lover friends is next to impossible.

"Glow" is fuckin TIGHEEEET, boy

This whole entire album is dreadful. It made me lock myself in the closet and almost puke. If I ever hear any of these songs ever again I will drive a stake through the singer's heart and dance the "Tango" on his skull.

I've had Axis of Awesome's "Four Chord Song" on repeat a lot lately. They're right, though - most of the popular songs from the last 40 years use the same four chords.

Other than that, uh, "Elmo's Ducks." What, I have a toddler.

I don't like those lyrics but that song has a pretty solid sound for a pop tune.

The B.O.B cd is really good. I mean it's a rapper who plays his own guitar. Not a bad angle, and as far as new rappers go, his material is fresh. He has songs with Hayley Williams obviously, and even Rivers Cuomo.

On one track, "Kids", he pretty much takes the entire arrangement, sound and structure of "The Kids Don't Stand a Chance" by Vampire Weekend and makes it his own. I'm not the world's biggest VW fan, so I prefer this version, but both songs are good in their own way.

Of course the three songs on the CD I did not like are the only three that Pitchfork said were any good so once again, my ideas in whats good for music are skewed.

You're thinking of MGMT's "Kids." Which is disappointing, because while I really love that song it is overplayed in my circles. I would rather hear "Kids Dont Stand a Chance"

the only thing i'm going to say about MIA's new album is that it genuinely pisses me off that it's called /\/\/\Y/\, which just looks awkward, why not go all the way and make it /\/\/\\//\, which might look more like "mava" but at least it doesn't look like a desperate attempt to salvage some logic out of a ridiculous album title that no one would understand anyway if every blog or review didn't find the need to point out that it's supposed to say "maya," and it at least looks more like an actually-passable album title in a snobby indie-buzz-band kind of way, like !!! or something.
