So it is literally months away but Bayside and The Bouncing Souls are touring together in like November and I am going out of my mind for that.

I saw Ted Leo at the Lime Spider in Akron in the middle of fucking July. It was hotter than hell because the Lime Spider is/was (I think it went out of business) this tiny little crappy nightclub in downtown Akron. Towards the end of the show, he sent the rest of the Pharmacists offstage and played like three cover songs. We were like, "We love you, Ted, but seriously wrap it up because you have been playing for over two hours and we are literally sweating like it's going out of style." So he says, "Okay, I know it's hot in here, so we'd like to play one more song for you." And then he launches into "Stove By A Whale". Which is like an eight-minute song. Second-best concert moment I've ever experienced.

A few months ago I saw Titus Andronicus open for Vampire Weekend, which is vaguely related to what you just said. Anyway, I'm going to be posting in this thread a bunch soon.
