Here's my problem with the PS3 - they make shitty games right now, and for right now the graphics are lesser than a 360's. I understand that it's blueray and that blueray games will eventually be better - but ya know? Also, it's about $600 just for the system - compared to $400 for the 360 with a game. You see where I'm going here right?

Also - last night I went out to 4 fucking different stores to buy a 360 and NO ONE HAD ANY! What the fuck? I tried to give away $400 to Microsoft last night and they couldn't oblige me. What dicks...now I gotta wait at least a week or so until new shipments come in.

The extended warranties are a rip, don't bother. If it's going to fail in a way that will be covered by a warranty, it'll be within the scope of the manufacturer warranty.

PS3 can play hi-def movies and do Wi-Fi out of the box (to do both of these on the 360 will cost you like, another 270 dollars seriously) and their controllers don't need batteries, and you don't need to pay a monthly fee to play online.

that said, if you do get a 360, buy the "play 'n' charge" kit that lets you use a rechargeable battery pack and hook it up to your xbox or computer via a USB cable to recharge the battery. Batteries last a decent amount of time but the kit should only be $15 or so and will save you the hassle of dealing with batteries.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. Here it's like $30 though - even though my dollar is better than yours. What the fuck is up with that anyhow? I'm still getting soaked for the price difference.

But now im thinking do I buy an Elite? But if I'm gonna get an Elite - I might as well get a PS3 for an extra $50 or so.

I HATE DECISION MAKING!!!

The $600 PS3 comes with a copy of Motorstorm now, if that influences your decision at all.

Dollo-- the thing is that it's hard to compare the PS3 to the 360 right now because there's just a lack of decent software support. If you want to know what is the best gaming system for the kinds of stuff you want RIGHT NOW, then I can honestly tell you that the 360 is a better choice. 1-2 years from now, it might be a completely different ballgame, but I can't predict the future.
