Which is exactly what they will do and is something that really pisses me off about games nowadays. Instead of spending 60 on a complete game now, in order to really complete a game we spend upwards of 150-175 after al the DLC comes available. Its crazy, and its far past the point of having become acceptable.

Yeah. It's one thing when Rock Band is making new songs into perpetuity and you can buy ala carte, but then Call of Duty is like "so we just made these maps" which is probably bullshit and they had them to begin with but if you don't have them you are TOTALLY MISSING OUT YOU NEED THESE MAPS so you have to spend about 15 dollars, and the game now costs $75 when it should still be $60.

Like, how is it more repetitive than a first person shooter?

The end of the homicide desk is pretty awesome, I thought.

As someone that doesn't play FPS or racing games, I don't disagree. I found the first few cases to be all similar in how you handle them. Go to scene, question suspects, get questions wrong and still get the case. I was expecting it to be a bit more open ended. I played them all in a row making it feel like every case was kind of the same.

I've done a couple homicide cases and I liked those quite a bit. There's more to do in each case and a couple suspects to interrogate (at least in Golden Butterfly). I don't know that you can charge the wrong suspect but the chief at least balled me out for having very little evidence. This is more what I was expecting.

Twice, fucking twice, and they were the best selling things ever. I have no idea why they would come out with MW3 when they can produce these stupid maps for black ops in perpetuity and print money.

Finished Homicide and this game is finally what I wanted it to be. The cases are longer and more complex. If the game keeps this up, I'd definitely pay to download new cases every few months.

minor SPOILERS

I charged the husband on the golden butterfly case and I never felt right about it. I botched a couple questions and the evidence was somewhat questionable. As more cases went by, I kept thinking back to that one case and how I was thinking the game was holding my hand instead of letting me solve the case. How I ended the homicide desk made me feel pretty awesome. As more cases went by, I was getting more involved because I really wanted to stop the murderer.

No matter how repetitive L.A. Noire may be, there is no way it could be more repetitive than Assassin's Creed.

I don't. However, I doubt I am the only one outraged by it. It reeks of laziness and money-grubbing.

LA Noire takes up three discs and I've put a good amount of hours in to it already. I won't feel short-changed by any DLC that comes out, I think Rockstar have released some of the best DLC packs for any games. TLAD and TBOGT from GTA IV and Undead Nightmare for RDR were definitely more than just lazy money-grabs.

i hate the golden butterfly case. I went from my first 5 star first run on Red Lipstick to my first 1 star.

It's really cool when a game punishes you for staying true to the character.

There's some disconnect between the player and Phelps anyway. Like, how he just casually mentions that he has a wife and kids in passing. Don't worry about botching the case, just enjoy the arc.

I finished the game recently and I enjoyed it! We ain't got spoiler tags so I'll keep it as vague as that.
