Strummer's post-Clash material was his best work.

50% of the bands discussed in this thread have recorded at least one song about having a magical ticket that lets them go anywhere and do anything. Guaranteed.

Because it is audibly unappealing, caters to angry teens and undeveloped manchildren and people who play in metal bands are generally disgusting pieces of trash.

Some unlistenable genres of music, such as crust punk and death metal, are developed not because of innovation or popular demand. Instead, they are created to be a form of music that someone can form a bizarre personal connection with due to its prescence only in their own areas. Think about it - can anyone really make a connection with a song that's played everywhere around them? If I heard "A New England" on the radio twice a day, I'd become numb to it, too. It's intentional individuality - people proclaiming their self-ness by listening to bands that are unlistenable. In a way, this is like cutting your hand off and then screaming about how 99% of the population are conformist because they insist on operating in a world with two hands.

In conclusion, grindcore sucks.

Greg Graffin and Dave Smalley are the only good punk singers ever, and the only thing that was good about Graffin's singing was the style.
