The actual movie itself was good, it was well-written and Ben Affleck did a good job directing. The casting was done pretty well - Jim or Jem was believable as a guy who grew up on the "wrong side of the tracks". Blake Lively apparently doesn't usually play a whore, and I thought she did it pretty well. I think the movie is a little overrated - Rotten Tomatoes gave it a 94%, which was 7% higher than Inception, and I didn't like it more than Inception, and I didn't think it deserved to be a legit "A" if Inception didn't. I think the ending was a little too close to Shawshank Redemption - when they showed a glimpse of the garden, I immediately thought he buried some money there. Then he moved south, a la Red.
I liked the references to sports teams throughout the movie, and then the eventual event at Fenway. The part where the cop looks at them in nuns outfits and looks the other way was pretty funny, and probably what would actually happen in that outnumbered situation. Again, good movie, but perhaps a bit overrated.
