There is an American remake of "The Killer" coming out starring Brad Pitt! Oh boy! I hope it is in 3-D!

So I went ahead and watched this again, and I'm going to give you one point Bis about the ending being gratuitous. The actual reveal of the Mist going away isn't what makes the ending bad, like I said, the fact that David won't ever escape regardless of the outcome is what makes the ending so powerful, but the fact that the son wakes up right before he is offed is a bit gratuitous and is the worst part personally about the ending. Had he been able to do it while his son slept, making him none the wiser, then the ending turns out to be a lot better for me, but the dawning understanding on the boy's face at the end is a bit unnecesary.

Having never seen this movie, and having heard this discussion several times, what is the difference between the movie in b&w and color?

It helps the realism of the CGI creatures, it eliminates the comfort of the viewer knowing when it is day or night (which adds to the claustrophobia and general confusion of what is going on), and it's just a lot prettier, honestly. It gives the movie the 1950s monster movie vibe that was intended.

Was it released in theaters or on DVD in B&W? I saw it on cable so I didn't really get a choice.

On DVD. Darabont wanted it released in black and white, but movie studios hate that kind of thing.

Watching in B&W honestly helped me understand it a lot more. I originally saw it in theaters and walked away laughing, but when the DVD came out and my friends showed it to me again under intended settings, it had a lot more impact.

It's basically a full-length episode of the Twilight Zone, just as cheesy and just as much of an insane twist, nothing more.

It's funny how people use "an episode of the Twilight Zone" as some sort of insult for this, or for movies like Signs or The Box. The Twilight Zone was fucking awesome, more things should be like the Twilight Zone.

This whole entire album is dreadful. It made me lock myself in the closet and almost puke. If I ever hear any of these songs ever again I will drive a stake through the singer's heart and dance the "Tango" on his skull.
