I suggested Super Dragon almost entirely for your post, so thanks! (If you know which fan he monkey flipped the whole thing is twice as funny.)Illinois Smith wrote:Super Dragon once (allegedly) monkey-flipped a fan. That's pretty much all you need to know about him.
He's loads of fun to watch when he gets to be a big bully against smaller wrestlers eager to get abused. The first match he had with Evans in PWG (back when they still ran shows at the green-carpeted Jewish community center) was probably the best singles match I've ever seen anyone get out of Jack. When he steps into indy dreammatch territory against guys like Joe, Ki, Homicde and the like ... not so much. Wish he'd have been in the Cage of Death last summer instead of Kingston or Webb.
I also find it pretty incredible how much shit he gets for being dangerous in the ring and whatnot ... When, say, Mori and Nigel come away from a match with broken noses and concussions, everyone just raves about how clearly they could hear those lariats connect. When Gabe ran a fake injury angle with Dragon and, of all people, BJ Whitmer (a guy who has been dropped on his head by a good cross-section of the current indy population pretty much continually since about 2002) everyone's all up in arms about how he could book an unprofessional fucker like that. It boggles the mind.

Then he delivered like six versions of INDY DRIVER #612~ to BJ Whitmer, subsequently managing to rally the entire crowd behind the clod, who then finished off Mr. Dragon with an Exploder '98 off the top through a table on the outside.
That's the only time I've seen the guy wrestle, and I'd say that's not bad for a night's work. Thumbs up.
When getting even means risking it all.
