I met the Phillie Phanatic when I was 12, but digital cameras weren't around then and I didn't get a picture. He's my hero, and he has been since I was a little kid. He's the very coolest mascot in the history of the game. OF THA GAME
I have two options over the next two weeks in my quest to get a picture with him.
1. The Reading Phillies play on Saturday the 10th in Reading, PA about two hours from me. They are advertising an appearance by the Phanatic. They also have a mascot band.
2. The Phanatic's birthday at Citizens Bank Park is on the 18th, a week from Sunday. Philly is also about two hours away from me. Chances are there will be a ton of mascots there from the surrounding area, including the Phanatic's Mom.
So I want to go to one of these.
Reading Pros: It is about a billion times easier to meet mascots at minor league games. Tickets are like 11 dollars.
Reading Cons: It's a minor league game, and "Phanatic appearance" is really vague.
Philly Pros: Tons of mascots, a major league park, etc.
Philly Cons: Tickets are NOT 11 dollars, and there is no telling whether or not I'll get to meet the Phanatic because I've never been to Citizens Bank and don't know his routines.
Thoughts/opinions/suggestions are appreciated.
