Making this thread because I am on a huge Sam & Max kick for some reason and starting watching the old cartoon through Gametap. And it turns out it was actually pretty fantastic, despite having to be toned down fro the original works. It's really rare to see such good timing and dialogue gags in a kids' show (See: "I think I'll just close this window for no good reason").
The same applies for Megas XLR, which had one of the best premises of any TV show ever (a pair of idiots from New Jersey find a giant robot from the future, modify the heck out of it, and go on a series of completely pointless escapades with it). There was so much to work with that it seems like a huge waste to end it after two seasons.
I miss Arrested Development a lot, but I'm glad it ended the way it did, and I don't think it would be possible to revive the series effectively after having such a complete ending.
Firefly was way too short, despite having -again- a tonne of material to work with. I hope that the Serenity comics Joss Whedon is doing work as a replacement to the show.
I can't really speak for Futurama, since it's coming back very soon.
