Matt, where did you hear about the rumor you mentioned above? If that's true, I'd disregard all traces of realism and mark the fuck out.

While I won't totally shit on this season until it's completely done, I will say it's been disappointing. The first four episodes started off great, but everything up until now I can barely remember. Plus, they totally mishandled the aftermath of the nuclear bomb going off. L.A. should have been in complete chaos for the duration of this season. It would have made things more compelling than they've been.

i read about it a month or so ago. i don't have a link cuz i don't remember where i read it, but basically [spoil]carlos bernard and one of the 24 executive producers were interviewed together on the ctu set earlier this year, i think for some internet-based show or other, and the fact that he was hanging around the ctu set to be interviewed was strange enough, but then they wouldn't say definitively that tony was dead and there was other suspicious stuff, drat i wish i had the link.

so either tony's alive, or carlos bernard went to his ex-workplace to be interviewed with his boss just to throw the internet off the trail.[/spoil]

[spoil]We never saw him declared dead last season, but Jack did have seven or eight hours after Tony's "death" that you think he would have heard something. Still, here's hoping Tony comes and saves the day. Tony's dramatic entrance in Season 4 is one of my favirote 24 moments.[/spoil]

Shit guys, despite the fact that there was a murderous terror operation to extract a fifteen year old from a government building, I actually liked this episode.

I never really dug on Milo, but his death hit me harder than Curtis's earlier this season. We had emotional stakes in Milo because we knew something about his personal life. All we knew about Curtis was JACK PUT DOWN YOUR WEAPON.

The stupidest part of the episode was how they put Josh Bauer in the opening credits as if to say "OOP REMEMBER THIS GUY? SURE HOPE NOTHIN' HAPPENS TO HIM!!!"

I'm really pissed off. I was sticking to Australian TV Time (we're about four or five episodes behind you guys) because I was sick of learning all the great twists and shit from Wikipedia and the 24um. And then one of my asshole friends who uses BitTorrent comes on MSN and says "DUDE MILO GETS CAPPED!"

I agree 110% and was actually going to mention that when I slunk back into the 24um after the seaosn was wrapped up in Australia. Apart from the twenty minutes or so of chaos and helicopters falling off roofs in episode 5, and then the occassional news bulletin throughout the rest of the day, the city was pretty much back to normal. There could have been mass exodus, endless traffic gridlocks, refugee camps, looters, martial law, racial revenge attacks, overcrowded hospitals, people with radiation sickness... and by the end of the series we could have had a mostly deserted, really eerie Los Angeles. It would have been awesome.
