As far as the slapshod plotting, I just thought it was assumed that the creative team is making is up as they go along.

It totally seems that way, but the interesting thing is that, according to something I've read, they've been better prepared this season than they ever have. Back in the first few seasons they'd be stressing out over a story near the deadline, but they apparently had half the season done before the premiere.

And good god, was Kim Raver's acting ever horrible. It was on par with Woodside's collapse last week.

I'm not sure what was wrong with it. Woodside's acting is still not the best on the show, but I think it's really improved over the course of the last few episodes.

When I say his collapse, I mean it literally. The scene where he was up at the podium, started trailing off, and then went URGH~! and fell over. It was cartoony and horrible.

That's exactly what I'm talking about, though. I've seen someone suffer neurological trauma, and Woodside's performance was pretty in line with it.

Yeah I hate Audrey. And I'm so upset at how bad this season has been so far, because I want so badly to like it and Heroes just keeps kicking it's ass in every way possible.

Hey, remember Jack's dad? And his bastard child with his sister-in-law? Wonder what THAT was all about.

whatever silliness may have happened to night was, as far as i'm concerned, redeemed by heller's appearance and his line to jack at the end. that was pretty awesome.

also, nice product placement in the teleconference.

Yeah, it's becoming clearer and clearer to me that Heller is Jack thirty years in the future.

The "seductress/seductor in the hotel room/apartment" idea has now been done, to my recollection, in seasons 1, 4, 5 and 6.

As far as 24's slower, plot-developing episodes go, though, this one was pretty good.

They didn't even end on a good enough cliffhanger to make me care about next week. The last four episodes had better be fucking spectacular.

The producers are talking as if it will, and I feel that over the years they've built up enough credibility to earn my attention.

That's kind of why I refuse to crap on the show at this point. At this point, sure, it's been my least favorite season. But last season was shaping up to be kind of lame until Evil Logan revealed himself and gave one of the best performances in TV history. They do have less time, but I'll wait until after the season's done to figure out what I really think about it.
