I saw that and first expected it to be a virus that somehow got from the phone to Chloe's computer.

Anyway, this has to be the slowest and most actionless season yet.

i'm seeing a lot of people complain about the thing with jack's brother being "soap opera-ish." but imo, it's not any more "soap opera-ish" than the asshole on the boat from season 2 that was shoehorned into the last half of the season and then explained away with a throwaway line in the first episode of season 3. people complain when they leave plot points unresloved, then complain again when they try to resolve them. *shrug*

oh, and i liked the detention center terrorist thing being a red herring, but i REALLY hope that puts this plot angle to rest.
I'm thinking of a number between everything and 2

They set off a nuclear bomb in Los Angeles in the season premiere cluster of episodes, and episode five featured a helicopter falling off the roof of a building and blowing up. There's also been folks getting stabbed in the kneecap, shot in the neck, and smothered with a bag. The last episode was pretty slow moving, but we're only like, six in.

The bomb hasn't had much actual influence on the action other than people trying to move away from the radiation. The helicopter thing was a couple of minutes and not terribly exciting.

I think a much better gauge of the action in the series so far is that Jack's killcount is at two, and one of those was his own fucking dude. I'm not saying the show's only worth a damn when Jack's killing people, but.. he needs to kill some people.

Well, I certainly agree that he needs to kill some people.

i can only hope that the karen hayes vacuum at Baby Bear's bunker must be quickly filled by none other than Mike Novick. Vaht is this goo?

also, jack will have some situation where he wants neither terrorists nor CTU to find him, leaving him with the obvious choice of crashing with Aaron Pierce for a while.

oh, hello friends!

Hello there Mr. Guari. How's it? 8)

So I'm wondering how much Jack is going to be killing his own brother and if his sister-in-law and nephew get dragged into it as well.

I am looking forward to Team Bauer next week. I wonder how well James Cromwell will do action sequences.

My mom thinks that Graem's alleged son is actually Jack's son. They had kind of a weird, awkward exchange, so I might be able to buy it.
He could still here they’re giggles. “Let’s get ice cweam, daddy.” NO! It was to painfull. He had to forget. He took a slug of booze to forget. This indicated a potential drinking problem.

I thought the same thing, and I'm really hoping I'm wrong. That would really not be necessary at all.

Monday's ep was pretty slow, but it was a story builder. Next week should be better.

Yeah, I'm really hoping that 24 is above making Graem's son Jack's little bastard, but seeing as they unleashed a mountain lion upon the show a few seasons ago...

If they go through with it, then I take this opportunity to quote Pit Bull when I say: "Nigga, you corny!"

I don't think I'd really mind it that much. I mean, the idea of Jack and Graem being brothers is ridiculous and needs to be explained a lot more than it already has. Given the already stupid situation, Jack's relationship with Graem's wife helps to make the brothers' relationship more complex, and if the kid ends up being Jack's I think it would actually serve to make things more interesting. Provided, of course, that the kid has even the moderate level of intelligence that Kim doesn't.

I don't watch 24 much but I have a question.

What were they accomplishing at the end of this episode? It's 6 hours into a season that's guaranteed to be 24 hours long, yet they try to convey Jack as being led to slaughter? Is this like some kind of formality that Jack's life needs to be endangered once every few episodes or something? Nobody could possibly believe anything is going to happen short of him smacking the gun out of his brothers' hand and fleeing with his dad.

On that note his dad is a pussy he should have just shot Jack anyway. Some terrorist.

That's a longstanding tradition going back to season 2, when Jack and Nina are in a plane crash. Several episodes every season now end with Jack about to be killed, but I can guarantee you that it won't be the focus of the next episode, and will be resolved before the first commercial break.

Yeah. Admittedly the question isn't, "will Jack die", it's "how will Jack react to people thinking they can kill him". He might chop you in the neck, he might strangle your neck, he might snap your neck, or he might just bite off your neck. You never really know.

on a different story arc, please walid don't be dead, please just be in critical condition. i'd mourn his death more than curtis's, to tell the truth.
