Watch Pushing Daisies

It's really really good. Got a less-cynical Dead Like Me sort of feel, kind of, but it's more of a fairy tale. And Kristin Chenoweth, and Lee Pace. And Anna Friel is gorgeous. Dead Like Me + Waitress + those Walgreens commercials.

You can watch it on abc.com too. Anyone else catch the pilot? How'd you like it?

Why would you want a less-cynical "Dead Like Me?" That was kind of the whole point of the show. It was the only reason I had showtime, and had to cancel when they canceled it. I wish patinkin hadn't gotten that gig on Criminal Minds, because I had heard that Sci-Fi was really interested in bringing it back to make more new episodes.

The second season of Dead Like Me was terrible, and I stopped watching it.

However, I loved the first season, and I also am fond of the Walgreen's commercials, so I'm headin' over to abc.com now.

I watched it on TV last week. Not sure what to think so far, but it could be good. I was a fan of Lee Pace from Wonderfalls; he's so cute! I'm glad he's got his own series.

huh

I highly anticipate the less-cynical version of Dexter myself.

Ken Grady is a mild-mannered crossing guard during the day, but at night, he becomes a delinquent driver, going as much as ten miles above the speed limit, and never signaling his turns!

Okay, so the cynicism was a great aspect of Dead Like Me, but that doesn't mean that it was entirely characterized by it. Pushing Daisies treats death with a very similar matter-of-factness, and I think that the characters interact in much the same way. They work together, they care about each other, and whether or not they really like each other doesn't matter so much.
