Seriously. I didn't realize Cleveland was a foreign country where toilet paper holders are manipulated with one's toes. I love the virtual tour! Your cat is so cute! I had the same Pikachu doll that you have on your shelf until very recently when I donated him to a thrift store. I pinched his hand for a last goodbye and as he sat in the trash bag with assorted things I kept hearing the saddest "Chuuu-u-u-uuu" repeat every now and then, and it was heartbreaking.

this is how we gonna do

WHAT UP MOTHERSUCKAS

Welcome to the San Jose, CA domicile of P-Boi forum members White Panther, withpeninhand and SundownMotel, AKA "where everyone gonna be sleepin in 17 days holy shit"

We start with the living room because eff a dumb foyer.

Image
Selected points of interest:
- Ryan playing Warcraft
- fireplace bitxhes
- Dexter on the flat panel because Dexter is the shit
- Those flag things hanging over the fireplace? Ryan got those from the DALAI MOTHERFR*CKING LAMA. so he hung them in the fireplace
- Bela is the most awesome dog in the history of awesome and she helps watch Ryan play Warcraft.
- Awesome Lone Ranger art that became a The Gunslinger logo.
- virgin mary crying because you touch yourself

Before we move to the "dining room" we should look at Ryan's DVD collection for perspective:
Image
Note that the bottom shelf is books and that the sick-bro white shades are mine.

"dininged room":
Image
There are no outlets in this room just to fuck with us, so this is our "sitting room" AKA where like six people will be spooning on October 19th.

That awesome green barrel chair is from my grandmother's house.

Here is Dave's CD and DVD collection:
Image

Here are some of my DVDs:
Image
Ultraman, Eeyore and Bear in the Big Blue House got my shit on lockdown.

Here is more of my crippling materialism:
Image
The right shelf is entirely TV shows on DVD. no i don't own nine seasons of friends what the fuck are you talking about
The left shelf is entirely books. Mostly comixs.

The kitchen!
Image
It is white.

Note the nook. That is a for-real nook. Beyond the nook is a Dutch door (!) through which is our backed yard (!!!)

Dave bought the microwave because Dave is an awesome.

To the right is a door to the garage where Ryan's awesome Nova lives.
Image

Not pictured: our "half bath" which is a box with a toilet in it.

Next: THE OTHER WING OF THE HOUSE (LIVING QUARTERS)

hey sup

Our house is so awesome it came with a hallway.

cracka ass hallway

A glimpse of Dave's room:

Wood paneling because Dave is legit the only person on the boards as big a pimp as Dan'l.

A glimpse of Ryan's room:
Image

Ryan and Dave please feel free to supplement this thread with pictures and anecdotes of your rooms.

Our bathroom, which looks cool but logistically shit's gonna be wacky in a couple weeks.
Image

okay i know what you all came for heh

Image
Yeaaahhhhhh.

I collect art, so if you feel like bringing me or sending me a housewarming gift, paint me something. :)

Here is more art and my unusually cluttered desk:
Image
The Saint Peter painting is by our house's own Ryan M. White. And yes, Alicia, that is an Orel Hershisher card next to my ceramic Will Clark Topp's rookie card. I really do not hate the Dodgers.

Here is more art!
Image
Art by me and my friend Julia and my ex and Ikea and oh what's that you ask?

Image
oh not much just an original salvador dali etching i inherited from my grandparents is all.

And here is my super extravagant recent purchase that a few of you know about:
Image
I saw this painting at an exhibit a few weeks back and bought it and oh my god is it wonderful. Totally worth debt. It is by an artist named Alfonso Kellenberger and I am enraptured by his art.

Welp, catch ya next time, these whores aren't gonna diddle themselves!

I would like to talk about my room!

Image
Bill and I bought the same bed at IKEA because it is the only non-offensive bed they have. In the back I have a framed poster of Kozyndan's bunny wave.

reverse angle
Image
I had over 300 CDs that I sold when I moved to San Jose. I have about 30 now. Most of my possessions are arranged in an intricate shelving system I built out of wooden boards and milk crates.

here:
Image
Find my copy of Seven Hill City. To the bottom left are 6 or 7 screenplays written by Hanstock. Most of the books here are fiction. I keep most of my non-fiction in the front room with my DVDs. Also, my record collection. Highlights include a first run pressing of Elvis Costello's Taking Liberties and John Denver and the Muppets - A Christmas Together. If you look closely you can see my "Not My President" sticker given to me by Me First and the Gimme Gimmes at a benefit show they played in San Francisco a few years ago.

Image
This is Bela; named after Bela Lugosi. I rescued her about 2 and a half years ago from a shelter in Orange County. She is the best dog. I love her very much!

Image
A slightly, not-much, better picture of my car. A 1962 Chevy II Nova 400. The top of the line model from the first year of production. This car was built to compete with the very popular Ford Falcon and Dodge Dart. Its mostly original except it has been converted to a 4-on-the-floor, disk brakes up front, and a CD player. It was originally blue like the interior, but I like the black better. I spent 3 or 4 years seriously searching to find this one. I don't think anyone here cares about cars, though!

You know what I like about your guys' living spaces? They're fucking dope. And Ryan - I'm a car whore in each and every sense of the word. I'd would love to own a 1962 Nova as that shit is badass to the fullest. However, as I sadly live in Canada where we get this little thing called 'snow', and 'snow' tends to mean that the city has to salt the roads - a 1962 Nova would just be a pile of rust sitting in my driveway.

I'm gonna take a some shots of my place either today and tomorrow and give you guys a tour of what I call home.

That is an awesome shelf. I've been running out of shelving space for a while and I can't believe I haven't thought of the classic planks/cinder block idea. I need to go find some building site for a children's hospital.

ryan you know you my boy and all but I kind of feel like I'm forced to voice opposition to the dorm room chic here.

I mean why not just go for the gusto CHS and use a wooden cable spool as your kitchen table?

That'll always be the dream. I have a friend who lives with a bounch of uni roommates (I still live at home) and I'm constantly pressuring him to find a cable spool and have it for a coffee table.

Man, I've only inherited a Dali print of that one where his wife is watching Jesus float on the Mediterranian that all becomes Abe Lincoln when you squint, but it was at least signed by Dali.

It's hilarious that we actually have more than two people here with inherited and potentially inherited Dalis.
