My only complaint? We need MORE B.J. Novak on the show.

Not really. I liked his arc but it makes no sense for him to appear anymore.

I've been very ambivilant about The Office this season other than Holly whom I consider the best addition to the show ever. So, that ending was basically the best thing for me. It's the first time all season I've anticipated a new episode.

Jon wrote:Pretty much all my friends prefer 30 Rock over the Office at this point. I don't know, 30 Rock is a funny show and I enjoy watching it, but there's no human element to any of it. The characters progress, but I don't care that they progress. The show is a vehicle for the overt set-up and execution of funny jokes, which of course is exactly what it's supposed to be. There's no possibility of me investing myself personally into a joke, like I can with The Office's awkwardness. When Michael makes misguided and strange attempts to relate to his straight-man boss, the uncomfortable nature of the whole thing completely comes across to me, and that sort of uncomfortable humor is something that I can't see ever being executed on 30 Rock.

This is weird. I was just talking to my dad about how great 30 Rock is, and he tells me that he's tried to watch it, but he gets too uncomfortable watching Liz embarrass herself. I agree sometimes, too... lately, every episode has just been a cringe-fest, never on the same level as Ricky Gervais (who I have serious trouble watching) but it's tough nonetheless.

Hmm. Turns out he was busy filming Inglorious Basterds when they were taping this show I suppose. Go figure.

I like that this episode was just the writers assuring us that the Holly subplot is ongoing. Michael's freakout was pretty high on my heartbreaking Michael moments, Pam failing to cover for Michael was a nice return to what makes her a good character, and Duzzy already said my favorite line.

This episode made me realize this show is better than I thought. I can take or leave The Office and miss episodes regularly. Then I see Michael stealing information about him from Holly's computer and taking part of her sweater. I empathized with him instead of recoiling at how creepy that actually is. It's a sign of quality that I didn't find that off putting.

Last night's episode was great.

Highlights:

*Jim's tactic for distracting Michael

*Angela's indifference to having had two different men duel over her.

*Meredith tearing the wings off the cupid

*Kevin

I liked how they handled the whole thing with Michael and the blood drive chick, provided she doesn't show up again since that would ruin it.

Did anybody else think last nights episode was fantastic?

This whole entire album is dreadful. It made me lock myself in the closet and almost puke. If I ever hear any of these songs ever again I will drive a stake through the singer's heart and dance the "Tango" on his skull.

Yes, but it was hard to watch. For both Jim and Micheal. Needed more desperate Angela in the rain.

It wasn't nearly as uncomfortable to watch as last week's episode.

I did find it funny that Jim finally looked like an irresponsible weirdo for his prank for the first time.

I forgot that Idris Elba was gonna be on so the first 3 minutes were just me marking out over Stringer Bell.

In November. On a show built around his character. That is a silly thing to expect.

Really strong episode, Jim looking like a fool in front of the new boss was great and I actually though Michael recognizing that he was being pandered to and quitting was a really great moment.

You mean to tell me Michael spent half the episode searching for David Wallace and he never once asked Stringer Fucking Bell "Where's Wallace at?"

ugh
