I'm pretty sure at the end of the events in the orchid, Ben will have something happen to his right arm and then TELEPORT to the Tunisian desert. Considering season 5 will most likely document the O6's need to return to the island, Ben will still be playing a major role in the show.

I was under the impression that Season 5 was about the conflict between Widmore's people and The Others, but maybe the flashforwards will feature Jack's efforts to get back to the island.

Ok now that I've seen that video, here's my new guess. We're gonna be moving the island in time as well as space. Holy shit what happens if the 2 rabbits see each other? Do they explode? And if we're traveling in time, is it Back to the Future rules or Bill and Ted? Do we get to say 'Remember to leave a gun behind this bush later' so it's here now? I smell crazy shenanegans (sp?) coming up.

I think generally speaking the time traveling rules are 'Slaughterhouse Five rules' in that the consciousness is all that travels (ie. Desmond's flashes/constant episode) but I think that one can teleport one's body as well using the orchid but it has more possible repercussions and consequences so it's only used in the most dire of emergency's (which I'm guessing is where Ben's story will take him, therefore forcing him to travel forward a few years to the Tunisian desert; remember he asked the desk clerk for the year when he got to the hotel)

But it's all guesswork at this point! I know the producers have confirmed some sort of time travel is/will be occurring in the show.

Oh I'm sure it will be both, I'm pretty convinced the overarching storyline (that we didn't even know about in seasons one and two) is the whole Widmore vs. Ben scenario. But the O6 are definitely going to get back to the island, for some kind of climax on island for season 6. Otherwise it wouldn't be LOST anymore!

I'm also wondering if season 5 will still take place on the island, AFTER they've returned and the flashbacks will return showing what happened after the island/before returning, and instead of guessing/wondering how they got OFF like in this season, we'll be wondering how they got BACK. I'm going to hate June-December.
