The new Brand New demos are the worst songs I've ever heard.

Wow, I've never heard a band try so hard to suck and succeed brilliantly at doing so. This is going to be a landmark release; providing an entire album full of plodding, mediocre banality to which an entire generation of annoying middle-class suburbanites will cut themselves and hopefully not botch the job this time.

I've never seen a band try so hard to avoid convention without the necessary ingredients to making an album unconventional. If you're Omar Rodriguez Lopez, you can make a 6 minute song with no discernible hook and it will still sound amazing. If you are Jesse Lacey, you better stick to powerchords, sing-along choruses and lyrics about how he could purches you and eleven of your closest friends for 10 cents.

I like it a whole lot, actually. This album seems as if they've gone out of their way to not use any hooks at all without the musical know-how to make it sound worth their while.

I never liked Brand New. The only thing worse than one singer doing a bad impression of Chris Conley is two singers doing bad impressions of Chris Conley at the same time but singing different lyrics.

Deja Entendu is one of my favorite albums, but these demos are pretty meh.

Track 4 is the only one that it remotely noteable.

According to the info, these didn't make the album, so theres still hope that it could be good.

I don't think the music is similar so much as the singers sound like they're attempting a certain "style" & failing.
