I didn't think the Battle Royal was much to write home about really, and it was clearly all a bit rushed, but it was definitely worth it because Kurt Angle is just so totally goddamn awesome that it was sweet to watch him win. Given all the injuries to Smackdown though, I really have no idea what they plan to do with anyone after the Rumble, and I'm not sure they do either.

Get JBL out of this retarded Boogeyman angle and stick him in the main event slot against Angle going into Wrestlemania. The promos the two could cut against one another would be worth it alone. Plus, in there with someone like Angle I'll bet JBL could put on a hell of a match.

Smackdown has a pretty great talent pool for their U.S. title. I see no reason to pull Booker, Orton or Benoit out of the scene, either. They're doing a great job with making the belt worth something, and I think Rey should be put into the fold as well, to even out the face/heel dynamic.

I really gotta wonder why they went with this sudden decision to put the belt on Angle as opposed to waiting until the Royal Rumble match. There's no way that making the Rumble itself for the Title would've hurt any; worked in '92 when Flair won it, and it'd work today. Then, when Angle won the damn thing, they could've just said that because he's a Raw guy, he's automatically moving to SmackDown.

But oh well; Vince knows best, I guess.

Honestly? I think Rey should win the Rumble and then go on to Wrestlemania to pull it off, as a tribute to Eddie Guerrero and to his injured friend Batista. But I guess that would only work if Angle had stayed heel.

Sigh... I'm not the biggest fan of face Angle.

Also, I guarantee Edge loses the title to Cena at the Rumble. I just cannot see them having Edge in the main event at Wrestlemania.

Well, the whole point of Angle was that the fans would cheer him no matter what it is he'd say or do. They should've run with that instead of turning him back to a clear-cut face. This is the man who only a few weeks ago claimed to hate black people and told the troops to fuck off, after all.

While it's true he was turned face, it doesn't make me like his face character much better. I for one didn't really enjoy his end of the verbal interaction with Edge. Most of his heel put downs kinda fall flat for me.

Though if he is able to maintain his heel persona while being face, I really don't give a shit and even better. I cheer him regardless.
