That was a really fantastic, old-school war. It was like the perfect hybrid of Memphis and strong style. Something about watching women bleed is a bit unnerving, even though Shinobu's blade job looks exceedingly weak next to Akira's CRIMSON MASK BY GAWD. I have to admit, when Shinobu came out at the beginning in her robe and everything, I thought you had posted the wrong match by mistake. I kept thinking, "Who's this guy?"

I have to say, Pablo Picasso may be the worst referee I have ever seen.

Big f'n file. I'll definitely watch this one once I send it over to the laptop, which has a decent Media Player and doesn't oversaturate the video to the point where it looks like the Neon God they made has taken over and overwhelmed them all.

I do remember Akira Hokuto from her WWF/WCW runs (ah, the WCW Women's Title. RIP 1997-1997), and she seemed like quite the brute, though I tend to remember Bull Nakano moreso for that quality. Women getting violent against each other is quite the spectacle though. I still remember watching a tape of the Tyson/McNeeley fight and the women's bout completely stole the show; they simply pummelled each other and it was insane. I trust this is along that line.

Shinobu is a bulldog. Ugly, but mean. Akira gets one punch in, Shinobu responds by DISLOCATING HER SHOULDER AND STOMPING ON IT SEVERAL TIMES. That's fucking intense.

OK, watched. Goddamn, they just killed each other. That shoulder thing was cool, even though I had no idea what was going on initially. Nothin' like a language barrier.

And that ref, what the fuck? He didn't start any counts for at least three years after the actual pinning began; what in the blue blazers was he waiting for? Permission from his boss?

Hokuto's prettier than I remember, though by the time they left the crowd and her face was covered in blood, she wasn't quite as alluring. Just as kick-ass though.

The finish was almost comical, though it still worked. After 20-30 minutes of murdering each other and destroying several hundred brain cells each, they punched each other twice at the most. They both fell, but only one struggled back up.

Jesus Christ, that's gotta be one of the most brutal things I've ever seen two women do to each other. Clearly Japanese wrestling fans don't share the same Dallas/Miller Light Commercial influenced view of women wrestling that Americans enjoy. Pretty fucking badass.
