Post subject: Top five wrestler entrance themes? |
|
|
Not really sure if this should go in the Sports section or this one, so I expect the staff to move it at some point.
So I bought the Bret Hart DVD and was reminded how much I absolutely LOVE his old WWF theme, with the feedback at the beginning as though a ninja was wailing on it REALLY REALLY HARD. Anyone else miss the old themes? I've also always loved the old Brutus "The Barber" Beefcake, and rarely a day goes by that I don't sing the bass line in my head, like so: "Biddle-a-dit-dit-diddle-a-dow-a DOW dit-dit dow DOW, dit, dadat dow da dit DOW *CHING*," et cetera.
Here's my list:
1. CM Punk, "Miseria Cantare"
2. Bret Hart's WWF theme
3. Owen Hart's "Enough Is Enough, and It's Time For A Change" theme
4. Christian's "CHRISTIAN! CHRISTIAN! AT LAST YOU'RE ON YOUR OWN!"
5. Kurt Angle
Honorable Mentions (more like Ring of Honorable mentions, am I right?): Jake "The Snake" Roberts, Dusty Rhodes "American Dream" (with gratuitous use of cowbell throughout), Brutus "The Barber", Christopher Daniels "Disposable Teens". _________________ And this is a promise, because this is true. This is real. This is Straight Edge.

Fun fact: whenever certain of my friends (most notably the ones I went to college with) see me, they will inevitably break into a rendition of, "WEEEEEELLLLLLLL....well, it's the BIG SHOWWWWW!" Because I look like the Big Show. So I shaved my head. Then Kurt Angle shaved the Big Show's head. Then I grew my hair back. Now the Big Show has hair. WELL PLAYED, BIG SHOW. _________________ And this is a promise, because this is true. This is real. This is Straight Edge.

1. Road Warriors/Legion of Doom WWE entrance (something about Road Warrior Hawk's ghostly "Ohhh what a rush" that gets me when it hits the speakers)
2. Hulk Hogan's "Real American"
3. The Undertaker's theme (I have no idea what the name is, but I think it might be AC/DC's "Hells Bells")
4. Mick Foley's Mankind theme
5. Vince McMahon's "No Chance in Hell".
Honorable Mention: Stacy Keibler's "She Got Legs" by ZZ Top. _________________

1. The Undertaker - Graveyard Symphony
2. Hollywood Hogan - Voodoo Child (Slight Return)
3. Mankind/Mick Foley - Wreck
4. Kurt Angle - Medal
5. CM Punk - Miseria Cantare... Even though I very much dislike AFI, I can't deny how well the theme works. _________________

Hmm, I do lack as much knowledge on this subject more then I should, but I'll give it a try.
1. The Undertaker - Graveyard Symphony
2. Shawn Michaels - Sexy Boy
3. John Cena - The Champ is Here
4. Triple H - Time to play the Game
5. Kurt Angle - Medal
I have always wondered how come the Undertaker went..all 'biker' on us...when he used to be the one that would strike fear into us and make us think that that was who was going to come to our house and kill us and eat our parents...where did he go?

Chris Jericho "Break The Walls Down"
Christians Opera theme
Mankinds original theme
D Lo Brown's theme. YOU'RE LOOKIN AT THE REAL DEAL NOW WOOOOOOOOOOO! GONNA KICK YOUR SORRY ASS OUT ON THE STREET HAHAHAHAHAHAHA
And last but not least, the nWo theme. I can never get that catchy riff out of my head, and the version with Macho Man saying OOHOOHOOHOOHOOH YEAHHHHHH cracks me up every time. _________________

No. That was American Badass. Graveyard Symphony is the gongs and the organs. The one that he used in the early to mid 90's. _________________

I still mark out for the D-Generation X theme. I don't know why either.
I'll think of more later. _________________

Oops, wrong name. I have it on the comp at home and everything too. Maybe I should quit my job and work from home so mistakes like this never happen again.
But either way, that has to be the most regal-sounding tune ever. I feel like Caesar whenever I hear it. |
