I was addicted to this game when I was little. If your player got out, you'd have to fight each other to stay on base. Except me and my brother would cheat and pick teams that were all laserguns and all laserswords. Only one team could be all laserguns though, so the person who had the laserguns would pretty much win all the time because they'd start shooting before the person with laserswords could walk up to them.
I can still hear the announcer yell, "HOMERUN!!" and the cheesy music playing. _________________ icesk8erkn: WHO R THO |

Short of the combat being way too easy (for the reasons you mentioned), it was a great game. I loved being able to upgrade the pieces of each player. _________________

| I preferred Baseball 2020, but yeah, base wars was fun. I don't think it was as fan as its football counterpart Cyberball, but it made for some fun base steals in the least. |

My bad, I haven't read everything in the archives yet, sorry. That's awesome though. That makes me smile.

I don't think we ever stopped running in that game until we got out and had to fight to stay on base. _________________ icesk8erkn: WHO R THO |

My cousins and I used to get into real fights over those bases.
A laser blast to my cousin's second baseman could and did often result in an elbow drop to my eye socket. |

Thomas Haden Church, me and my brother used to fight when we were little, so we'd get in fights about it too. Usually it was whenever we played all lasers and whoever had the lasersword team would get mad because the lasergun team wouldn't give them a chance to walk up to them. _________________ icesk8erkn: WHO R THO |

| I got thrown out of an arcade once for punching a kid who intercepted my fumble on Cyberball. |
