Rise of Nations

Me and my pal Jon have been playing some Rise of Nations recently.

I've won a few 1v1s, but the fucking computer keeps beating us in a team match (us two against two moderate computers).

We just got done getting our asses kicked again, so forgive me if I'm terse.

However, the point of this thread is, WHO ELSE PLAYS RISE OF NATIONS PLEASE JOIN US

We actually played one where we both controlled the same nation, it ended up working pretty well, surprisingly.

I'm a huge fan of the Chinese, because they have instant citizens, caravans, and merchants. Being able to mass produce citizens really helps me out. I (and possibly Jon, to an extent) never build military fast enough. I'm too focused on the economic side and I end up getting overrun.



I would be willing to make illegal copies of my game and mail them to people, if anyone is interested. I think you would be able to play on GameSpy with us (anyone know for a fact if it will work?) Jon doesn't have the expansion, but I've got the Gold edition, which has both.

Jon says that he doesn't think it will work on GameSpy with my CD Key. This makes sense. I know, for instance, that battle.net will not let more than one of the same key join.

It's entirely possible to find some kind of keygen, I'm sure, and it's also possible that Gamespy doesn't check anyway.

If you're morally opposed to illegal copies of games, you could buy it from Amazon for under $30.

Yeah. So, PM me if you want to talk about the stock market or something.

Oh yeah, I'm not trying to send out millions of illegal copies of the discs or anything, it was just a thought. You'd probably be better off buying it yourself anyway, just so there wouldn't be any problems. Just sayin'

Anyone who likes RTS games will love this. It's pretty much the best RTS ever made. I think I remember seeing it for $15 or $20 in some places, actually.

Half.com has it for $11 at the cheapest, but that's just Rise of Nations. The cheapest RoN Gold goes for is around $19.

Still, those are pretty good prices, and it's really a fun game and well worth $20. I actually did purchase a copy of it, so that's something.

NOTE: Since Jon doesn't have the expansion, we only play regular Rise of Nations anyway. If you'd want to play single player, Thrones and Patriots is much more fun.
