Chest hair?

Okay...I'm really curious. It seems most men I see nowadays that are under, say...40, have no chest hair! I mean, I know a lot of Armenian guys who can't help it but they have more hair than skin. But otherwise, where has it all gone? I'm not saying I have a specific preference (I think most women do, but I'm withholding mine for the purposes of this poll), I'm just curious. I can't tell if there's a lot of waxing/shaving going on in the world, or if guys have stopped growing chest hair. So men, do you have chest hair? I mean a carpet of curls, not just a patch. Women, feel free to vote for your guy friends.

I have some chest hair, but not, like, bushes. No back hair, either, so that's nice.

But right back atcha: why the war on pubic hair? Don't get me wrong: those Playboys from the 70's scared me, too, but that doesn't mean it ALL has to go.

I agree, Bis. I just think the prepubescent look is scary. Everyone oughta keep it in control, but...well, I mean do what you want with it, but all gone is creepy. And in all honesty, I'm not a fan of the "hair shirt" effect, mostly because I'm about nipple/armpit height on a lot of guys, and I don't like the feeling of brillo hair against my face (even through aa shirt).

The reason no one else has any body hair is because God put it all on my chest. I have none on my back or shoulders, and my arms and legs are only moderately hairy but my chest...god damn. I tried getting it waxed earlier in the summer (on a dare, mostly) and it was the single most painful thing ever. It was exactly like the scene in 40 Year Old Virgin: My friends were laughing at me, I was trying to cry, I was cursing like crazy, and I was being indescribably mean to the lady who was doing it. The differences were I finished, and there was a LOT more blood.

I'm similar to Bismark in that description of hair level. I don't have particular thick hair, either, which is a blessing on my body but a bane on my head.

As for pubic hair, I've been spoiled. Spoiled rotten. Trimmed is okay but if it's all gone, all the better.

I just have a few wisps of chest hair, but I can think of four of my best friends who are real Tom Sellecks, and I don't think that's that unusual. I think it's just that the kind of dudes who like to be shirtless with enough regularity that you can observe their chests are often the same types of dudes who wax.

People ask me if I shave my arms because I have no arm hair. I guess all my arm hair went to my legs but I have no plans in shaving my legs, ever. I suppose I might grow chest hair later on (I'm gonna be 18 soon). Then again a friend of mine was hairy as fuck (chest and lower back hair) when he was still 17. Uhm.. but I am seeing a light coat of hair sprouting out of my stomach area. I'm not too happy about it either.

About nipple hair. I started getting them since 8th grade and I thought they were embarassing/gross so I started cutting them with scissors since then. Thats how I learned the mechanics of pubic hair grows back and it grows back thicker.

My chest hair is comparable to my arm hair, which is moderate at most. It's just slightly darker.

My grandmother used to tell my brothers to eat the crusts of their bread because it would put hair on their chests. She would tell me to eat the crusts of bread because it would put curls in my hair. Crazy grandmothers and their contradictory statements.
Anyway. All my boyfriends have had chest hair. It isn't very attractive but I imagine it would be terrible to shave your chest. The stubble would be horrendous.
And I don't see why it is considered a prepubescent look to have all the pubic hair shaved/waxed off. If it really looks like a child's genitals to you simply because there is no hair there... well that may be an issue.
