My body is a blue, down filled throw,
my mind Sandburg?s poppies.
My hands are museum postcards, prints
of full busted, ruddy faced country women.
My thoughts a trout on opening day,
fleeting, flashing momentarily into the light.
My love a hard pan, rutted road, bordered
by a forest of dogwood dreams. |
