I must have followed all information about this sequel since it's announcement way back when, and I fell off the wagon. Now I see that it has already been released in Japan AND it's being shipped in eight days. I am losing my mind.

Actually, from what I've seen, they ruined Seifer. They made him 11 and, if you can believe it, he looks even more...flamboyant.

They've given this game enough time for the WOAH THIS IS AWESOME bubble to burst.

Yeah, I've seen that about Seifer, but I think it might turn into something interesting. They haven't ruined a character before.

I had let the game fall to the farthest part of the back of my mind. So much so that now I'm all hyped about it again. I can't beleive how well they've done stylistically and graphically (just look at those pics from the Pirates of the Caribbean level), and with the same style of gameplay and further plot developments I'm not sure how not to be excited.

They never completely ruined a character, sure. But they didn't really use 'em all as well as they could've, either. It seems like he's gonna take on a "Mido from Ocarina of Time" role:

Don't we already have Riku for that role? Also the "I need a magical, evil older woman to tell me what to do" thing (Maleficient/Edea or Ultimecia)

Edit: Also the "I am a loner who ignores my friends when I feel the need".

Also the "Rival to the hero".

Also the "He becomes good in the end".

Well, I'll never summon Chicken Little.

I wasn't really keyed about Pirates of the Caribbean being a world in the game. I almost think they've taken the Disney/Square merger too far. But I'm sure it'll be awesome.

Chicken Little bothered me too actually. I was under the impression that only the established classics would be called upon, but I guess I can take that hit for the team, because I am hopelessly in love with the Steamboat Willy level.

Y'know I was worried about the Pirates of the Carribean thing too until I saw how well they made the graphics and that they have the actual cast's voices from the film (including Geoffry Rush whose name I am having trouble typing). As long as they get the mannerisms down I'm not sure how it could get too messed up.

The existence of Chicken Little in that game makes me think that the third Kingdom Hearts game will feature in-game trailers for Disney movies yet to be released.

Hey you guys guess what I did this weekend!!

My personal feelings about this game: Pretty good. It has some moments SPOILERS

(Auron in your party, giant battle with Leon, Cloud, Yuffie and Tifa fighting a giant army of Heartless, Sora's fairly nifty new weapon styles, the enemies being more than Disney Villains, a villain who is essentially a reference to Dragoons, Pirates of the Carribean, SETZER FUCKING GABBIANI, Sephiroth's voice not making me cringe)

and some bad parts

(Aerith's voice making me cringe)

I really don't know what to think about the Disney parts, really. They're neat.

I always pronounced "Sephiroth" wrong. I thought it was with a hard P sound, but nope! Soft F!
Pete is a freaking riot in this game. Jim Cumming is totally underrated as a voice actor. And Timeless River was freaking fantastic, and hooray for no stupid underwater combat! Although I'm probably the only one who likes the musical Atlantica level. I love the music from Little Mermaid, shut up you guys.

I plan on picking up this game once I'm done with Suikoden V and God of War. Is it on par with the first one?

You can have Auron in your goddamn party. You can fight alongside Square characters (even if not all of them can join your party). Sora has grown up a little so he seems more like a realistic character (a little bit more) instead of some pre-teen (I know he was supposed to be 15, but seriously) with a key. The Disney settings are actually fairly realistic in regards to conflict (Mulan and Pirates of the Carribean as examples, over, say, the Little Mermaid or Monstro).

It's better than the first one.

My only real complaint has been the 'morale' meter in some parts of Mulan. I love the whole 'your enemies fighting each other' bits they sometimes get into. I love this game. The drives just make you feel like the biggest badass in the universe. I like the multi-chapter approach they took with some of the worlds.


I sang along to some of the Little Mermaid song levels. You shut your mouth. I'm still a girl. I still love Disney.

I'd say that's fine, but, all sappiness and "eew Disney"-ness aside, some of those songs were pretty bad. Like, the rhymes and the rhythym, I mean.
