Day 5, I can't believe they killed off the cougar!

Thought the episode had a pretty weak start (Jack forgot about the death of the closest thing he had in this world to a friend right quick) but it got better. The SWERVE at the end was one of the biggest I can remember. I never liked Oooodrey anyway, though I imagine she's going to turn out to be innocent (of course after a whole "how could you even accuse me of that, Jack" bit. I certainly enjoyed in SPOILER next week's episode preview, Jack chokeslamming her END SPOILER). Also, if Wayne Palmer gets killed, I'm putting a boot through the TV. Not even because I love the character or anything—I'm on the "I like him" side of indifference—but because COME ON WITH THE KILLING OFF EVERY FUCKING CHARACTER

I'm thinking that Audrey's Dad was one of the government higher-ups working with Walt Cummings, and he pulled a reverse season 2 and put the focus on Audrey. It'd also explain why they'd choose Jack of all people to be the CGI killer of David Palmer.

I really want to believe that Tony is still alive. It was almost borderline offensive how they just brushed him off and continued without a second thought. If Tony really IS dead, I don't know why they gave Edgar the silent clock and not Soul Patch. So boo to that.

Other than that, the episode was great, and the ending was a nice shock. I really hope that Audrey isn't Nina 2.0, because that would give this season's haters even more fuel. I'm banking on it being either James Heller, Trey Atwood, or Wade Keller.

Also, was that German guy Desmond from Lost? They looked pretty similar.

What Jon said. Itzin is acting his fucking ass off with this role. I've never had more fun being frustrated with a television character's actions. He's an idiot, yes, but it's not JUST that he's an idiot. He's also the victim of circumstances spinning so maddeningly out of his control that now he's just twisting in the wind.
