I was browsing 24 message boards earlier, holding out hope that Tony may still be alive (no homo no homo) despite the official Fox evidence otherwise, and it appears the big rumor is that, as I've kind of been thinking the whole season, this'll be Kiefer's last (the whole China business still seems like a pretty big proverbial pebble in Jack's proverbial shoe) and that, starting next season, 24 will be moving its focus outside of L.A., with all new characters. At the rate at which the current characters are dying off, this doesn't seem too unlikely. The rumor for a while was that Edward Norton would be the star of the next wave of 24, but that has unfortunately been disputed.

Edward Norton on 24 would be the most awesome thing in the history of anything.

That is not true. It would be less awesome than Kiefer Sutherland on 24.

I dunno, Kiefer Sutherland is great in 24, but before that, he was in a bunch of really awful movies. If you take a guy like Norton, who has been in incredibly great movies and put him on 24, I think you have a winner.

Kiefer Madness

I'm not sure what I'd think about a cast change. We could use some fresh characters and situations, but I don't want to show to simply become another C.S.I situation.

Unless they really can pull out an actor like Edward Norton, I'll have little to no interest in a 24 without Jack, Tony (that may be sooner rather than later), Curtis, and so on.

On the other hand, click clock

From the second page:
Quote:
The actual death of Jack is where Mr. Gordon said he would like the series to end, whenever that may be. "He's a tragic character, and tragedy ends in death," he said.
Mr. Gordon being Howard Gordon, executive producer.

Edward Norton? Absolutely not. What about Tom Hanks? If he's good enough for Da Vinci Code, then he's good enough for 24. And if we're getting all new characters, what about GWB trying out his acting skills as the new president of the 24 USA? Cheney could join in, of course. Ronald Reagan acted, and he's my hero.

They'll probably kill off Kief cause he's too busy doing films that are really just Madagascar with a different title.

http://imdb.com/title/tt0405469/

I mean, come on. It's one thing for Disney to rip off Kimba the White Lion 30 years after it's run on TV, but now they're ripping off films from LAST YEAR???

Hey.

Hey.

TOTALLY DIFFERENT.

They are clearly on a rescue mission because one of their friends is kidnapped. Madagascar had Zebra Chris Rock talking about white people or some shit.

Completely different.

I'd heard they were gonna do 2 more series and then wrap it up with a movie. But I would take that with a healthy pinch of salt.
