Is HHH turning Face?

I don't really watch wrestling as much as I use too. Two reasons being Saturn and a Mop. But my brother still being obsessed with the "shit." Anyway I was watching WWE (If you ask me, no one did but, if you ask me TNA is doing WWE some good. WHOOO TNA)and HHH was getting Cheers. I hate that guy. Since when do we like him? I wish him and his father in law would die due to there current storylines. Thats all I have to say about wrestling' for now. Except, when is slaughter getting his fat ass down to the ring again?

Man, does this ever bring back memories of the old wrestling message boards I used to frequent.

Some people think this is all part of a face turn for HHH, yes. Some think it may even culminate as early as Backlash, though I'm still on the fence about that one.

Basically, the top babyface, John Cena, is getting booed out of every town he sets foot in, and HHH is the easiest to turn into the top babyface at this time. Crowds always want to cheer him and only boo him because he makes his heel intentions known constantly. Whenever he returns from a vacation he is default cheered right until he kills Ric Flair or whatever else he may do.

I don't really like HHH that much either, and got bored with his current heel act back when he was having pose downs with Steiner, being racist towards Booker T, accusing Kane of necrophilia and owning every singles title on Raw. But as a sharp, witty anti-hero who can show some ass and gives guys "the business" he can be pretty entertaining. His promo with Edge monday was pretty good, not Attitude era gold by any stretch but I always am moderatly entertained by HHH ripping into unlikeable characters. And he's pretty much had me on his side through out the entire John Cena conflict except for the brief moments where I throw a pity party for the good doctor.

All in all, I actually am hoping he is turning face and soon. It would be a refreshing change to the current crop of TV which Edge has already been succesfully contributing too, and also would be a valid reason to finally turn Cena heel, which is when he is at his best anyway.
