Post subject: The Dugout screenname clarification thread |

It's come to my attention via e-mail, IM, and posts on the forum that some Dugout screennames need an explanation. This thread will be a good, non-YOUR STUPID environment to ask questions about what you don't understand, and hopefully grow a deeper appreciation for our stupid ass style of punning.
Basic rules:
1) No explanation will be deemed "dumb" or "obvious." If you need "manny_the_torpedoes" explained, we'll explain it to you. Don't be afraid.
2) Try not to do the I DON'T UNDERSTAND MOST OF THEM~~!!! thing without at least bringing one or two up that you're curious about.
3) If you don't get one, try saying it outloud. Then try saying it outloud more slowly. Most of them time it's just a "their name sounds like this" joke.

Both are a play on the last name "Benson." Kris' screenname, AndHedges, is a play on a popular (well, sort of) brand of cigarettes called "Benson & Hedges."
Anna's screenname, which should've just been HARPY with 35 exclamation points after it, is RobertGuillaume.
Guillaume (the black guy) is one of my favorite actors, and arguably his most famous role is/was that of Benson DuBois on the TV show Soap and its spinoff, Benson. So, since she's Benson, she's Robert Guillaume.
