I was only able to come up with 19 comedies... so my #1 choice isn't worth as much as someone else's #1 choice? So... to make it worth more, I should tack 6 "I guess I didn't totally hate it" movies to the end of my list? |

Police Academy 4: Citizens on Patrol almost made my list.
This list would've been easier if we could give 50 titles and then compile a list of 100. Because damn, I cut a lot of really good movies.

It took me a while but I did it. It was cool to finally figure out my favorite comedys and I'm hoping to see some underdogs show up on the list.
I kept wanting to put a Christmas Story but I decided against it, even though it is one of my favorite movies, and it is very funny, it seems too "touching" and nostalgic to really be labeled a "Comedy" movie.
I also resisted putting new favorites like Beerfest and a couple others, but I let a few outstanding ones from this year slip through. |

I had to cut a bunch too, I don't know how people are having problems coming up with 25. The movies I cut were all outstanding and I kept coming up with better ones as I was going on. Plus I'm sure I'll see the list and catch about 4-5 I wish I'd added.

If Stand by Me isn't a comedy, then Good Will Hunting isn't either. My list is actually pretty solid in terms of quality and in terms of comedy vs not comedy. Fargo actually didn't make my list anyway because I like that movie but 25 others have made me laugh more than that one.
