Big Bird didn't understand why everyone was so quiet. "I...I just wanted to give President Reagan his picture. Is he in the Oval Office?"
Maria touched his shoulder. "No, Big Bird...he's not there."
"Well, maybe he's on the set of some movie?"
"He isn't there either."
"Well, does anyone know where he is?" Big Bird was getting more and more confused.
Maria and Bob whispered something to each other. Then Maria said very softly, "Don't you remember, Big Bird? President Reagan died. He's dead."
