Plot summary: Lizard Man is best known for bracing in for impact while a boat is about to fall on his boat. Lizard Man was featured in the Jonny Quest episode "Mystery of the Lizard Men". The mystery was how the fuck a wooden boat could get enough air in still waters to crush another boat and not sustain any damage. Bandit solved the mystery by barking at a head of lettuce and licking Race Bannon in the face. (more)

Man was a monumental first in the Hanna-Barbera world, as
he is believed to be the first Hanna-Barbera character to
die. But the attention and scrunity directed toward him
over the years has unfairly overshadowed the work of
Lizard Man #2, who was standing to his side and thus was
largely blocked by view of the camera. After all, he was
the one steering the boat. This reality has been
celebrated by a considerably large sector of the Jonny
Quest Opening Credits Fanfiction Community. Below is an
excerpt from a one-act play by accomplished fanfic author
quest_as_folk_2001_2001:
Lizard Man #1: Why are you being so quiet?
Lizard Man #2: I'm thinking.
Lizard Man #1: You're thinking because you're lost.
Lizard Man #2: I am not lost.
Lizard Man #1: You're so lost! We were supposed to meet
SPECIAL GUEST STARS FROM FINAL FANTASY AND BUFFY THE
VAMPIRE SLAYER over an hour ago! Pull over and ask for
directions!
[author's note: ...Many of you guys will appreciate the
subtle humor here...as I often like to present cameos
from other universes...it adds to the fun, if ya know
what I mean...]
Lizard Man #2: Where am I supposed to pull over? It's the
goddamn jungle. Hey, wait, there's a log! Let's fill 'er
up over at that log? Huh? How about that? You want me to
do that?
Lizard Man #1: *sobs*
Lizard Man #2: What? What's wrong?
Lizard Man #1: *sobbing* Why do you have to make me feel
so stupid?
Lizard Man #2: IT'S NOT MY GODDAMN FAULT TH *gets crushed
by magical indestructible boat that was dropped from a
B-52*

ending, i know, but i couldn't find a good way to end
