Gulliver (1968)

Cartoon
The Adventures of Gulliver

Animal
Codependant Man

Outfit: jeans / white turtleneck / vest / dog, midgets

Tagline: "Remember that show 'The Littles?' My show is like that, only with off-putting Jonny Quest animation. And everybody talks like Gregory Peck."

Plot summary: Gary Gulliver's father is missing, so logically he ends up in a place where a race of tiny people help him perform simple tasks. I had planned on going off on a long-winded rant about how gay things loosely based on Jonathan Swift are, but every time I type "Swift" my emotion chip goes off and I want to sing the David the Gnome themesong. Did anybody like this show? How about Hanna-Barbera making a show loosely based on Toni Morrison. I just want to see a badly animated adult white guy holding a pitchfork voiced by Scatman Crothers going "GAWWLEE, THEM AFRICAN AMERICANS IS HUGGIN' EACH OTHER ON THE GROUND, LET'S STAND HERE AND ANTAGONIZE THEM!" (more)

User Comments: The problem Gulliver is having here is that he's wearing a white sweatshirt with the sleeves rolled up under his vest. Jeans and a vest with no shirt would make him look like the toughest S.O.B. in Lilliput, but as it stands he just looks like my Aunt.

Look around you.
There are many things to see,
That some would say could never be.
These things I know.
It's true and I will tell you so.
They are there to see, if you believe.

Trolls and wizards
and fairy kings,
Birds that talk and fish that sing.
And if your heart is true,
Then you will find them too.
In every wish and dream and happy home,
You will find a Kingdom of the Gnomes.
