Franco was traded after his rookie year to Cleveland, where he began to establish himself as a star. But while his numbers went up, so did his weight. "I don't know, I just didn't take care of myself," he confesses. "I gained weight big-time. Fans used to point at me and be like, "Hey, isn't that the cartoon astronaut from the opening credits of Reading Rainbow? It hurt a lot." Despite the abuse, Franco produced several solid seasons with the Indians.
